Question Need Help: Update P90, ADDITIONAL UPGRADED PARTS.

EDIT: this problem below has been solved, I will update with any other quesitons in my most recent/last post on this thread.

So I just got my Modify Polycarbonate Piston (Full Teeth), Modify Enhanced Cylinder Head - V6 (P90), and Modify Polycarbonate Bearing Piston Head. All from Airsoft Parts

Now I installed everything perfectly and closed the gearbox and hooked up the motor to the gearbox.

What happens is that the Piston will cycle through once normally (Pull back then push forward hitting the cylinder head), however when I pull the trigger again the piston will pull back, then jams in the fully cocked position (Spring is completely compressed against the Airflow tube and Piston itslef) while it is meshed together with the gear that moves it (Don't know the name of it).

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Would removing the second tooth on the Piston help fix this? Or is there something else to this that I'm not seeing.

EDIT: Just found out the Metal Tooth on the Piston maybe too long to let go the gear and unmesh the two.

The metal tooth is more sharper and higher then the plastic teeth which are more flat allowing the gears to move over them without getting caught.

Would shaving down or flattening the metal tooth fix this entire problem? SEE PICTURES BELOW! For bigger images click image twice (let it open up the new screen wit hthe mage then click the image again)

Note my P90 is a KS P90, which has all stock parts minus the "Modify" ones I purchased. Meaning the Gears, guarder, etc. are KS stock.

What spring are you using, and what battery (all details)?

Spring is the Stock KS P90 one, no idea what size it is sorry

Battery is a custom L-shape 9.6v 1600mAh battery

Well it cycled once. Is your battery charged? Have you tried a different battery?

But then it jams. I'm thinking its the metal tooth since it is more sharper and higher then the plastic teeth ,which are more flat allowing the gears to move over them without getting caught.

Would shaving down or flattening the metal tooth fix this entire problem? SEE PICTURES. You can tell in them that the Metal tooth is pretty much touching inbetween the top of the gears when meshed. I found this results in the tooth scraping against the gears (possibly causing the jam)

However I will charge up my battery anyways and try again tomorrow.

My point was it cycles once, so there's no reason why it shouldn't cycle twice.
If you had a problem it would jam on the first shot.

I say it's a un-charged battery.

Alright I believe in you Styrak, put the gearbox back together and put the motor back on, will test tomorrow morning with a full battery.

I think what may have happened if it is my battery, is that my friend/the seller may have used a Standard charger on the Battery which resulted in it not being able to hold a full charge for a long time.

Talking Take The blue (pill)

Hah! (sorry I don't mean to be mean) yes, Use lock-tite on EVERY bolt on the gearbox... I neglected to do so and all of the screws had backed out... I;m just lucky nothing failed because of it... also be careful about tightining down the bolts on the gearbox as you can strip the threads on the gearbox... just snug them, and the lock-tite will keep them from backing out...

I dont know why people think MODIFY parts are great, when seriously part of that too is because they're cheap compare to Prometheus or Systema. The modify piston you bought sucks, you're better off with your old stock piston one as long as you dont go over m120 spring. Change your piston head, it looks crap and Im guessing your piston head is not moving smoothly inside the cylinder. Its not the metal teeth that made your piston look like that in the first place, your piston sucks period. My suggestion is put your old stock piston back and replace your piston head. You'll get better results, plus your using your gun for CQB am I right? Hell even guarder piston works better than modify piston.

Fixed! Atleast the gearbox. My stock piston was chewed up flat so its impossible to reuse.

Ended up charging battery to full then putting blue thread lock on the piston head screw and my gearbox is now complete.

Now however I was informed that my hopup rubber is shot so I need to replace that too. Just wondering if I will have to get a new hop up bucking on top of the hop up rubber

Generally No. Not that if matters since many new hopup rubbers come with a new nub anyways.
