Newbie here, a few questions for ya!

Hi there. I'm new to this whole airsoft thing (I don't even have a gun yet  ).
My friend has been telling me a lot of things and I think this could be really fun. I already have a good beginner gun picked out on www.airsplat.com, but I have a few questions.

1) Will there be any hassles with customs for shipping this (I live in Alberta)? I read the FAQ on firearms law up stickied at the top, and I just wanted to clarify if a 300 fps gun would count as a firearm.

2) The bb's that airsplat sells (house brand), are they any good for a beginner? They're really cheap, about $12 american for 8000 in a 1 kg bag, and I don't want to spend a lot yet.

3) Is the UHC M92 M9 a good handgun for a beginner? I heard from a few people that it's just about the best value gun you could as for.

4) Is ABS plastic durable? That's what the gun is made of.

Thanks guys, and hi again.

You CAN'T order from the states. Check out all the stickies and FAQ on the forums and you'll be well on your way to having all your answers.

Sorry to sound blunt, but your gonna get alot worse responses..... Where abouts are you located in alberta? your best bet would be to go to a game and see what stuff we use. you will soon find out that what your looking for is not the same airsoft that we play.

if you want, add me to msn and I can see what I can do, to help you out.

Ahem, I have had 2 UHC M9's. They are on par and more powerful then TM HGHU Springers. Matter of fact, My friend has one of them now, Still works like brand new ( 1yr and a half old, probaly at least 12,000 shots fired on it.)

I was just kinda being sarcastic when I made that post. "Awexome" you need to think about getting a useful gun (a aeg or a sniper rifle) then think about a pistol a springer will not be useful on the feild if you dont have nothing else. Unless you plan on attending "pistol games only"

get a basic AEG from 007 Airsoft or another Canadian shop, don't order form the US unless you want to risk lossing the stuff. don't get cheap bb's cause they mess things up in your gun. beginners don't need a pistol, just get a good TM AEG and a high cap mag or 2, and you will be good to play. Abs plastic is durable as long as you take care of it and don't step on it, drop it from high heights, and other not smart things. check the links at the top under Canadian Retailers and look for a gun from one of those shops.
