WE Glock 17 Gen 3 Upgrades?
So I've recently purchased a WE Glock. I'm hoping to put a little money into it, and I've heard there are a few parts that go on them. I did a quick search on here and the most helpful thread was from 2013 which is most likely out-dated, although maybe I just didn't look right.
Anyways, I know there's the standard barrel upgrades, but are there any weak points in the WE glock that are important to upgrade/replace? E: I now realize I've put this in the wrong section, if a mod can move that would be great Last edited by DrramTrooper; December 28th, 2017 at 23:40.. Reason: wrong section |

Nozzles blow up, and hammers break, aside from that not much really.
The thread you found was likely still up to date (WIP: Upgrading your TM Glock) which has been updated recently andd basically all still applies.

My nozzle is going on 3 years, granted it doesn't get used often. hammer, same thing.
I put a PDI tightbore and had a buddy RHOP it. Now I can shoot .28 - .32 without issue at decent distance and amazing accuracy. Had a buddy say "I bet you cant hit my hand" at roughly 150 feet. One shot right in the palm of his hand |

@Ranger is it worth it to replace those with more durable replacements ahead of time or should I just wait till it breaks before replacing.
@chaz I do want to increase the performance eventually but I was more concerned about making the gun last first. Thanks for the ideas I'll look at doing those first when it comes to it. |

I heard for the WE Glocks the outer barrel will crack.

I had mine for 3 years now...It's my primary most of the time since my AEG breaks down so often. I only swapped out all the hopup group which includes hopup bucking, inner barrel, nub, wheel, and the entire casing.
Everything is still going, although I don't play very often, but i swear it shot more bbs from my glock than all my "primaries" combined. Don't upgrade durability parts until they break, there is just no point.

I upgraded to a maple leaf Hop Up. Tightbore inner barre. Deception bucking, and a maple leaf aluminum valve.

The newer revised barrels are still breaking? I find that hard to believe |

There are still quite a few old gen WE Glocks being sold. I believe the WE Gen4 Glocks have redesigned barrels so they don't break. The new gen WE Glock 18 have been redesigned so the nozzles do not break. However, there may be old gen WE Glock 18s still being sold. I have never used a KJW Glock, but if it is between a WE and KJW, I think I would prefer the WE. Plus if you are swapping all the parts out on WE Glocks, then there is little reason to buy a TM Glock.
