Re-painted AGM MP-40

Pics of my re-painted MP-40. I re-did the bakelite based on photos of real one. Finishing techniques included washes, filtering, and buffing with oil paints.

How did you get the paint off of the steel parts? They're just absolutely baked on to mine

Thanks Strelok! I first used EASY-OFF OVEN CLEANER and then a dremel tool with wire brushes (making sure to disassemble and mask off the internals). I did not need to get all the paitn off, just as much of it as I could. Lacquer thinner got the rest out but again the top paint (lacquers sprayed on) will be pretty durable and cover most of the old paint. - Cheers

Thanks SORTIE39 for advice. I will add more "blue" to my oil paint. Can't use regular blueing as this will take off the paint. Cheers

That looks awesome. Does the AGM version come with that muzzle nut or did you buy it? If you did or anyone else knows of a place to get them can you link me? I've been going crazy trying to locate one but no luck yet.
Also I would love to see a guide for the technique you used or atleast know what paint brands. My brother and I are both getting STG's and don't like the black painted look, it would look badass with a finish like that.
