Vegetato woodland

I collect lots of camo, so when I went to a local skirmish over the weekend, I put on the entire Vegetato woodland kit. Almost all of it is Defcon5, including pants, combat shirt and CIRAS.

You don't even understand how well that worked. I was changing mags and three guys walked by me when I was in a small stand of trees in the woodland game.

Since I'm a geardo, I always thought that you need different camo for different fields for different seasons. In Canada, for example, CADPAT for summer, Vegetato for fall/spring, snow for winter, etc. I also like being different than the crowd--most of the time.

I always thought this was a cool rs pic too:

I don't know how good the Italian military is in real life, but at least this camo pattern is pretty cool.

It's in decline since the end of the Cold War.

They were right on the front lines for a long time, but like many European Forces after the fall of Soviet Union, they cashed in a "Peace Dividend"

No mandatory service any more .. the force is all volunteer ( like most western forces these days)

Smaller, more nimble.. less capable.

As far as WW2 is concerned however, the Italian military didn't have much success.

That is totally untrue. In WW2, the Italian Army successfully changed sides.
