Question RACK numbers on rifles survey.

What do you guys think are rack numbers on rifles cool or not? I like my guns to look as authentic as possible and I think rack numbers add that little bit of realism. if you have gun with a rack number I'd love to see it.

I tagged my HK33K with the number 15, aswell as all the accesories and mags had 15 written somewhere.

Rack numbers are the "short bus" of the operator world. I've been in units where they put rack numbers on weapons, and it looks silly. I've always removed them, as they aren't supposed to be there according to our policy.
There's a serial number on it for a reason. Use it.

Sometimes it's not even a rack number...and as far as it looking cool or not..who really gives a fuck what other people think? If you like it go for it, if not then don't.

I remember last game I played in Ottawa - came across a TM P226 lying on a trail. Engraved into the side of the grip and highlighted in white was the fellow's number - so I was able to give it right back to him.

At my unit, it's pretty much half and half - some guys will go by the serial number, others will put some guntape on their stock w/ their last 3 or some other number, makes it real easy to tell who's whose after transporting them etc..

Hey Way Ferro, nice gun man, I love the worn out look you have going there..SWEET!!! Nice weapon light too.
I like haveing the rack number for the following reasons (mainly) cuz it kinda gives it that "authentic look" (same as haveing worn out paint) also i like to have it be unmistaenably identified in a pile of gun (especially sinec i have an M4 and we all know that that is like the "honda civic" of airsoft.
For you guys who did put your rack numbers on your guns did you guys just pull that number out of the air or is it based on something?
I'm going to put "74" on my gun (same as my actual rack number in the CF)

well rack number are sweet, i love em, another option i really like is when guys put an avitar on their gun instead of a rack #. dman had the calico jack on his, i had my anarchy A on mine, thats unique and identifiable as well. i think either or are sweet.

my rack number is obvious, but where do you guys get YOUR inspiration for you rack numbers?

putting an "avatar" on your gun is a pretty cool idea too, don't know why I did'nt think of that, I'd probably do skull and bones and an Ace of spades if I were to do one. I have'nt put a rack number on my gun yet but like I said i will use number "74" which is the same as the rack number of my C7 in the CF.

You should post a pic of your gun SWAT13.

But yours isn't a PTW MAX (Also my gun has changed quite a bit since that pic, have a rebar cutter on it now but switching back to a birdcage, switched to a 553 instead of the 552, removed the flip up sight.)

Stencil is from photoshop, one of the fonts is a military style stencil font. Just printed it out on 110lbs cardstock and cut it out with a sharp x-acto.

As for avatars, yeah, in the process of designing one now. Since I have the SCK PTW there are no trades or any markings on it so I have lots of room to play with. The personal logo I made kinda turned into a team logo that is getting embroidered onto hats so I need to come up with something else for myself.
