Cheap...ish video UAV's?

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=63...e=Parrot%20Inc

Just found this in the NCIX sale letter.

This was featured on a top gear UK episode a while ago. Outside of being fragile would anyone think this would be useful for urban or field ops?

Thoughts?

Had an AR drone since late last year or so. I would not want it shot at with BBs at all and you would need a pricey controller on field too another thing you don't want shot as well it battery life sucks. Mine collected dust for a bit then I gave it to my dad.

Someone in another thread had a good point:

Finding guys(wearing camo) in a field with the naked eye can be a challenge. Trying to do it on some cellphone quality video would be a waste of time.

I wonder if it can carry a bag of BBs. Use it to do like supply drops in big 24hr games, now that would be cool. Or at the very least, film games from a birds eye view.

The problem I see with that is that it's range would be greatly limited considering it uses wifi for transmission.

What I'm wondering too is that if it can use an ad-hoc connection (direcr connection between drone and iphone) or if both nees to be connected through a router. If the later, it would render this completely useless on the field
