G&G RK 6mm V.3 gearbox upgrade questions

Hi all,

Just got some general upgrade questions for those who know about V.3 6mm gearboxes, particularly G&G RK series.

I want to upgrade my stock G&G RK47 gearbox, but just wanted to know if anybody can tell me what a 6mm gearbox can handle. I know Tokyo Marui v.3 gearboxes can be pretty nicely upgraded, but I want to know if there is an extent to the "upgradability".

I'm not thinking of doing anything whacky, but possibly a bore-up kit with an M130 spring and high torque motor with 200:100 steel gears and a mosfet.

Looking to do a Saiga AK sniper build.

Any input would be helpful

Thanks

NOTE: Before you say, go with a different gearbox with 7, 8 or 9mm bearings, please keep in mind that G&G RK V3 gearboxes are kind of proprietary in that they have a different external structure to use the G&G faux bolt.

Probably 550fps or 3000rpm no problem, depends what parts you put in...
use solid steel bushings, bearings are fairly weak in 6mm
probably don't need a bore up kit either
best cylinder/piston head to use is ARS and they don't come in bore-up
what kind of battery are you planning to use?
and what barrel?

up to 470fps, as long as it has a sorbo head, don't need to worry about anything breaking

Cool, I was planning on putting in oil retaining bushings anyways. I've read all over the place that 6mm bearings suck. lol Plus, I don't need the RPS since it'll be a DMR.

I'm looking to throw a 590-605mm barrel on it, so the bore-up is necessary isn't it?

Also, for battery, I haven't even thought about that yet. I'm looking for a snappy trigger response and good performance with .28mm or .3mm bbs.

11.1v with a neo-magnet motor and a mosfet will be pretty snappy
barrel length, honestly anything past 420mm is a waste. This isn't real steel, barrel length does not equal range or accuracy.
And the fact you won't need a bore up kit with a shorter barrel means you'll be able to use the much higher quality ARS compression parts.

Awesome, thanks man. I wish I hadn't bought the bore-up parts now, but I'll hold off from the 650mm inner barrel and just use a standard size with a stabilizer.
