How to Turn Left Corners?
I'm right handed, and turning left corners is extremely difficult for me. I understand that most people switch hands and take the corner with their left hand and left eye, but my issue is that I have been nearly blind in the left eye for my whole life. Because of this, I cannot switch hands and aim down my sight with the left eye and can only see around a corner once my entire head is already exposed. Currently, my strategy is basically avoiding left corners all together, but when I have to take them, I try hugging the wall and taking a quick peek with my right eye (meaning my whole head gets exposed for a brief moment), then if I spot an enemy I will either go a different path or attempt to run out of cover and strafe kill them. Sadly, this strategy isn't the most effective and it's the best I could come up with. How would you guys suggest I take left corners with this handicap?

I'm in the same boat with left eye impairment: ( if I have to go left and I'm by myself often I will switch to pistol and go left handed. For some reason it just works better and less of me is exposed. Try it out some time.

Step back enough that your muzzle is on the corner (pistol, carbine, whatever) then swing your body around in an arc with the comer as the center point. Like circle strafing. That way you have your muzzle out, and more importantly UP, roughly the same time your meat is exposed.
You can practice this with a mirror. It's not the most efficient way to round a corner but when violence of action is needed that's gonna be your best option.

If you hold the stock away from your shoulder a little, you can roll your head and use your right eye while shooting from the left. It feels a little awkward at first, but it's something you would get quite comfortable doing. You don't even have to switch hands if you don't want to, you can just switch shoulders and stay shooting with your dom hand.

Whoa! Hold on there Zoolander... (Had to throw that in)
I myself don't have a huge eye sight issue, but for some reason switching to my left side I always seem to be ackwardly hunched over, with my gun on an angle. I practice of course, but it's still odd, which is weird because I've always been fairly ambidextrous, or at least skilled with my left side. All that being said, I like the pistol idea and will go to that whenever I can. Use a right dominan, two-handed grip and just keep your chicken wing in, or if you feel comfortable with the smaller side arm, just use it left, your choice. This would be my first choice in CQC/CQB anyways. If you need more distance or fire power, so a pistol is not an option, then you need to use a left-handed/right eye approach. You may opt for a sight that is more forgiving to ackward shooting positions, such as modern iron sights, something with great eye relief and is a little taller. These will help with the transition. On top of that, you'll need to practice this as it'll feel more odd than a new golf swing in the beginning. I used to do the same thing and try and keep right, but forcing myself to switch it up has worked out better long term. While you get used to the idea of shooting left, get a more released hold on your weapons and drop it away from your face, so that you're looking squarely over your gun instead of down the sights, this may help acclimate you to shooting left and make it more comfortable overall.

Never was a big fan of switching hands, I personally can't effectively shoot using left handed position, and switching back takes a precious second. Try simply moving your rifle butt from the right shoulder to the left, while maintaining the same grip. I use left eye then, but you could use right as well. Most of your body will still be behind the corner.

If you're right handed, turning left should be the easy side.
It's turning RIGHT corners that you should have an issue with. Turning left, you just slice the pie around the corner while having the least amount of your body visible. Turning right, your left arm will come out of cover before the line of fire of your rifle, but instead of changing hands entirely, I just change shoulders and tilt my head to my right eye is over the bore, then I can just aim down the barrel instead of using the optic. |

He worded it weird, he might mean positioning yourself on the left end of the wall? You are right, though.

Just shoulder bump and angle (keep your hands all on the controls and handguard, take your stock off your right shoulder and move it to your left, and twist the rifle slightly so the magazine is angled about 20-30 degrees from the vertical towards the right). Your left cheek will contact your left shoulder/stock, and you can use your right eye to aim down the barrel (but not really the sights unless you get a canted red dot). Your head will be exposed more than somebody switching fully and using their left eye, but this should be better than avoiding all right hand turns. Several people I know are left-handed, but have right-eye dominance and they do this with varying degrees of success.

Step back and slice the pie. Barrel displine is very important. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Fluent movement when reaching a corner step back with barrel near the edge of the wall then rotate on that ( pretend your muzzle is the middle of a clock and your the arm rotating clockwise around the corner )
