Choosing a Weesatch?

Hey guys,

Haven't been in to Airsoft for very long now but i'm hooked and currently in the market to get myself a Weesatch because I think they look totally BA, but I have NO idea at all about good ones to check out due to my lack of sport-related knowledge!

Been using a Pantac RRV for a while now and i'm trying to change things up a bit, give myself a bit more variation in my loadouts rather than just sticking with one all the time, plus i get a bit hot wearing it and I need something that's not CB.

Looking for ones that comes in OD or RG if they make 'em? Have trawled google and not found much about specific makes of them, seems that not many of the vests are actually called Weesatch(es)...

Can you guys throw some options at me? Preferably online retailers please!

Pic related, looks like something i'd be very interested in buying!!

Thanks

The Weesatch is meant to be worn with plates without which the rig will tend to flop around.

As for the heat retention issue, all chest rigs will do that.

Ok, I mean the heat isn't the main issue, just thought it looked like it might be a bit more airy which would be a plus but whatever, any makes particularly recommended?

Edit: I do have SAPI replicas to fit in so that should stop the flop!

For my weesatch, I used acrylic type sheets of plastic to take place of the plates. Ridged and flexible. A bunch of us are running the Flyye gear weesatch.

I have used sheets of cardboard to eliminate flop but they tend to go soft after a little while and would suck if they got wet.

Cut them to fit and they maintain the shape but flexible enough to bend. I need to radius the corners better so they don't slowly cut away at the rig. Also will eventually be drilling some 1" holes to allow better heat transfer and to make it a hair more flexible.

I have also contemplated lining the inner side with neoprene but will also have to cut holes to match my plates.

Personally, I hate how bulky sapi plates make the rig feel and look. (My Voodoo Tactical molle plate carrier is also way too thick without plates)The plastic sheets and neoprene would be no more than 1/4" thick and is very light weight.

BTW a Weesatch is a rig model made by high speed gear interceptor and not a type of rig. In the same family there is the weesatch, the wosatch and the wasatch. They are the same butr with slight different configuration.

I realy love my wasatch

pile up cash and get a real one from HSGI. They can be found on the used market for about 200. Getting a copy is just stalling until you spend again for the real one. I realy recommend the enhanced shoulder padding...

copies remain copies....

www.optactical.com is where I usualy do my shopping

Although a copy, the Flyye WSH* (weesatch) is by far not an inferior copy. Quality is top notch. None of the guys I personally ordered one for, and who run them as their primary rig, have any complaints.

the price is right too, if and when it's in stock!

As one of the guys Coach ordered Flyye gear for, including a Weesatch, I am very satisfied with it. Only complaint I had were the stock shoulder pads, found them very stiff and uncomfortable... Took them apart and replaced the stiff padding with some very soft backpack foam, sewed them back up and its like wearing a pillow under the straps.

I personally recommend getting the MBSS or similar molle attached hydration pouch or backpack. Really balances the rig out and spreads out the weight.

We usually always have some in stock.

Come in, try it on, add pouches and get a feel for it.

Looking for a woosatch (weesatch without internal mag pouches), again google and all of the websites i have tried were not helpful. Wouldn't feel too bad about having to get the legit HSG, but if there's a cheaper alternative anybody knows, i'll happily give it a once over!
The lack of internal mag pouches are what i'm really stuck on. I plan to be running an AK with this rig, and the quite simply, i think that an AK mag in those pouches just wont work.

Flyye's WSH are great quality, and available any color you want. (If in stock...)
Did you looked at RRV rigs? That could interest you. Lighter and modulable.
