Help with silencer for TM G17
Hi all,
I need help picking out a silencer that will work with a PGC CCW threaded barrel on my glock 17. Would a "G&P Socom MK23 Silencer 14mm CCW" allow the gun to cycle? I have a stubby G&P and I can't rack the slide because the silencer hits the recoil spring guide. I just don't want to purchase something that doesn't work... |

Why do you want a supressor on a blowback pistol? All it does is impede performance. Some even prevent proper blowback operation like you experienced, or by weighing down the barrel.

The mk23 suppressor is bigger then the gun itself. Also a suppressor puts added weight to the pistol barrel and causes performance issues like it jamming and not cycling properly and added wear.
Also I just tried, you can put a mk23 suppressor on the tm and it will rack, but its larger then the gun itself and likes stupid as hell.

I got the ace1arms osp? Suppressor.. I think thas the name.. anyway I got the 8inch accidentally instead of the 7inch and it was way too heavy to cycle reliably on my g17. I remedied the situation by getting one of those 5ku S.A.S rail mounted threaded adaptors. This takes all the weight off the barrel and it works a charm even with the 8inch beast on there. If you go this route you can use any suppressor you choose
