KSC G18C Metal Slide/Trademarks?
Hmm... I can't seem to find any metal slides for the Glock 18C that have correct Glock trademarks (all caps). Does anyone know if they even exist? I've found plenty for the Marui/KSC G26/G26C, and Shooters Design slides for the KSC G17 and Marui G18C AEP.
KSC G18C? After scouring the big HK retailers, Nothing, Zip, Nada. Also, practically all the slides have coloured in trades. Is there an easy way to remove these without affecting the finish on the rest of the slide, or would you just paint over them? Maybe the crayon trick works with a black crayon too? I'm basically looking for the original KSC plastic slide, but metal. Correct trademarks, correct colouration. Short of that, if I had to engrave my own trademarks, which slide would be best? I saw a few that had incomplete Glock logos, with the big G and nothing inside. Do these have complete trademarks, short of the logo, or are other things missing? I did see that one thread here on ASC where someone fixed their G19 metal slide trades, but I'm not quite ready (or patient or skilled enough) to go that route. Any help? *quick add-on: I didn't notice any correctly trademarked slides for the G19 or G23/23F either, though I wasn't looking specifically at those models, so I may have missed them. *'nother add-on: Just looking at some pics, turns out the empty G on some slides is significantly smaller than it should be, so engraving in the rest wouldn't be feasible. Anyone know where I could get a completely blank metal slide? Something like the KWA glocks. I'd prefer blank over incorrect trades.

OK! I've found blank metal slides for the KSC/KWA G18C! Unfortunately, they're all from American retailers (makes sense, with their trademark laws and all). Metal slides/barrels get stopped at the border, right? Well, I guess I'll see if ASCA can get them for me.

Ask ASCA to get it from WGC, you can get it with full trades for maybe $120

I just checked my 18c slide, it's small caps. If you're REALLY determined you might be able to get someone to laser engrave it for you.

They're the Greek goddesses of Terror(destruction) and Strife(discord). My boom stick is Ares, so it fits (they're his sisters/wives/daughters/youknowhowgreekmythologygoes).

Speaking of engraving slides...
Anyone know where to get a detailed picture of a COLT 1911A1 Government model trademark? I am thinking about getting the WE 1911 and since the trademarks version has them lazered in white and missing on the right side, that I will get them engraved myself somewhere. Would be appreciated, can't seem to find one anywhere! Even if anyone has the Marui version or the real steel, could you possibly scan both sides for me, all possible trademarks? Would be, again, greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Why not just get the Marui? It's a far better performer than the WE.

Wow I dug this old nugget up from the bowels of the forum! O:
Got to love Google! So TunaBreath or anyone else who has upgraded their KSC - Glock 18C slide to a metal one, how do you like the upgrade? Did it work out okay for you, or knowing what you know now, would you recomend steering clear of this upgrade? I am thinking about getting a metal slide, but a few folks have advised me against screwing around with gas blow back pistols. What do you guys think? Gordo
