You might consider going to a gun doctor.

There are plenty of guides online to walk you through all the parts.

Just work on it carefully, and keep a good count of the screw. If you're scared about not remembering which screw goes where, take a picture, label the screws, etc.

Or you can go to a gun doctor, and ask if you could watch him do the work. Then you can try it yourself with more confidence

Not to be an ass, but honestly if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing it...

When I take things apart I like to trace a 1:1 of it on a piece of paper.

What version mechbox?
IMO, the most important thing is to not let your spring guide shoot across the room. Stick a small screwdriver through the back of the spring guide and slowly wedge the mechbox open (after unscrewing all the screws obviously). The rest should be fairly intuitive.

Find someone who will help you learn how to do it yourself. From a personal stand point I think everyone should learn how to maintain and fix their guns for themselves. Sometimes that's as easy as finding someone to help you figure it out. Sometimes its harder and having too much time on your hands and a few tools kicking around. If you try the later there was one thing Greylocks suggested and thats open it inside a garbage bag so that if it flies apart before you can see where everything was, atleast you'll have all the parts inside the bag somewhere.

Smartest thing you can do is take it to someone with experience, listen to the posts above, its only smart.

But if you do wanna go at it yourself, go slow, pay UTMOST attention to everything you do. Keep the parts in order, neat, clean! Read up on everything before you do, all the guides, talk to gun docs online if u have any questions before or after.

But seriously, if you have any doubt, dont attempt it. IT would be worth it to take it to a gun doc or someone who knows what they are doing. 20-30 bucks to install it is better then 100+ to replace anything that happens when you do it.

Note that what I mean to use is a large CLEAR plastic garbage bag. No joke.

Secondly, asking for experienced help (specially the first time) really IS a good idea.

A bottle of Advil is also a good investment.

(There are folks out there who will help you out for almost free if you ask nicely).

agreed. If you have to ask for help on taking apart a mech box .. get a clear garbage bag and open the mechbox well inside the mag and on teh floow where you have lot of room. Things will fly out and you don't want to be like the rest of us our first time and have to go looking for that one nut or spring all day.

Advil and an extra pack of cigerettes... if you drink .. have it on stand by just in case

thats why i asked firts, i didnt know stuff would be flying out the mechbox and that the screws has to go back where i took them out. just like that, is there any way not to have the stuff flying out? like putting more pressure at one place or to make sure you dont seperate certain stuff....
