Metal hop up; advantages?
http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=29788
I was just looking around for a hop up to upgrade my ak and came across this. Is there any real advantage to having a metal hop up?

Not unless you like jamming your mags in as hard and as fast as possible, a good plastic hop wil usually provide a far better airseal, usually only a few fps but every little helps.
For that price id go with a TM hop, or Element if youre on a budget. |

like mrbishi said not much, unless its cnc'd and oringed to hold and keep a good air seal, other than that, a metal hop up is good becuase its metal, you wont break it.

A metal hopup will help the shock transfer from your gearbox, into your hopup, then into your body ect. A plastic hopup doesn't help nearly as much. I would go for the prowin ak hopup, or one of those supershooter hopups, but then again, for a v3, it doesn't matter nearly as much as for a v2 system.
