Hey all.

I am currently switching over from a modern CADPAT loadout to a fullfledged 101st WW2 kit.

I have the M1 helmet and JUST recieved (on its way from the UK) a 101st uniform, Trousers and Jacket... including the patch.

Going to get the webbing stuff first then an M14-Garand conversion.

Anyone that could help me aquire said gun/kit would be apprecieated.

Well lee, looks like the dream is soon becomeing a reality.

I've finally removed the cover of my M1... had a vietname camo on it... almost shed a tear.

Now, Im not exactly sure if i WANT this recorked, im kinda digging the worn feel.

What markings need to go onto it? I just couldnt remember which ones Lee has, a solid stripe down the back and a spade on the right with a small dot under it?

Ordered my suspenders and M1 ammo belt today as well.... =)

Depends.

Officers in the 10st and other US units (IIRC) used a vertical stripe on the back of their helmets to show others that they were an officer. Non Coms used a horizontal stripe for the same purpose. The idea behind this was that you could know who was in charge without having to check rank, etc.

The Spade/ Club etc tag was, again, IIRC, a symbol to denot different Batallions within the Regiment. Your best bet would be to pick a specific coy or Batallion to mimic and go from historical photos.

It's looking good Billy. Now get that second chevron on that uniform corporal!

I can't wait to see that M14 converted to the M1 Garand.

Great game guys, the 101st Impression looked awsome.

Billy(i hope thats your name youonlywish )
if your conversion kit doesn't make it for the ww2 game, your m14 would go by as a BAR.
It sort of looks like it.

Can't wait for the 26th

youonlywish, you should look into a good pair of boots. I saw a pair that were damn close to those used by world war II paratroopers...

Dug through my history, found the link.

Man I can't describe how much thrill that game was.
We had a good fight at the Drug Lab, attack-defend
I was up in the window, you were down at the little trailer. We had quite a gun battle, the BB's were rattleing like crazy.
