Most people cut and size a piece of lexan to place in front of their optic glass.

you can also buy the killflash that holosun offers as well, if you are feeling not up to making one

Lens protector

Buy a cheap pair of single lens safety goggles, pop out the lens, trace out the size, you can cut it with decent scissors and file the edges easily. Cut a thin perimeter piece of double sided foam Scotch Extreme Mounting Tape and done.......or buy a killflash

If your doing it on a tac light leave a couple small gaps in the tape for heat to escape but only if you've got ocd

Rifle Scope

I have several cheapo Amazon scopes on my rifles and like 4 out of 5 times they work great, they shock me with how well they perform at less than 40 bucks each. I have only had most of them for less than 6 months so I will have to see how they hold up over time... but when you have 5-10 rifles that need scopes, that adds up fast!
