A&K SR25 vs. Echo1 SR25 differences?

Hey guys. Just lookin at buying a dmr. The a&k is 50 bucks cheaper but is there any difference between the internals or compatable parts?

A&K are easier to find upgrades and midcaps for.

They are the same, your point is irrelevant.

If you can find the A&K, get it. There is no trades on the receiver, but I prefer nothing than ugly echo1 trades (the shield thing).

Plus if you REALLY want some trades, you can have it engraved.

They are not the same. The Echo 1 has a normal length cylinder while the A&K has a elongated cylinder. The Echo 1's cylinder head is not compatible with standard V2 ones, as well as its tappet plate.

Yea i heard some thing bout A&K being a rebrand, and also heard that Echo1 has very few upgradeable or compatible parts.
So does that mean they arnt the same?

This is all very interesting. I haven't cracked one open, but I have handled them a lot. I know that the Echo1 inner barrel does not run into the suppressor, so it's not going to be a whoopin' DMR based on that. What you'll need to do to get it running 'better' than other AEGs is to really work on the consistency of the compression system. I'd like to hear more about what that really entails.
If the cylinder head can't be swapped for other V2s, then achieving a good, consistent, cooperative compression build will be problematic. I'd really like to know exactly what kind of 'elongated cylinder head' it is.

Most compression issues arise during the nozzle / cylinder head and nozzle / bucking seals. The elongated cylinder of the A&K is more suited for longer barrels, since you have more air.

For SR25s, get a G&P or CA if you can. If you can't, go with the A&K.

Also, if i got the SR25 with the solid stock (also comes with suppressor) would i be able to get a crane style stock like the SR25K for it?
Iam pretty new to all this, i was guessing it would just be a screw or two.

Heres what iam looking at

Yes, you would a buffer tube, a screw and a crane stock. You might need to rewire to make the battery fit the crane stock.

Just read on a few forums that Echo1 actually rebranded the JG SR25 not the A&K, hmmmmmmm decision time lol

Fair enough, I stand corrected.

I've been nothing but impressed with my A&K M249, top shelf stuff.

I would really like to understand why an A&K over an Echo1... I confirm, at least from what I read, that E1 is indeed a rebrand of JG, but many sources also say that E1 doesn't only rebrand off one particular brand. None of this seems concrete tbh. Also, last I heard, A&K was on the same plateau as JG, by which I mean cheaper end. I'm still waiting on my E1 ER25k from Evike, that is if I get it... A&K has no warranty, at least for most of their stuff, where E1 has a 30 day warranty. Also, A&K advertises different specifications than retail sites, such as fps (yes I know fps doesn't mean everything, but from a snipers perspective, I don't see how fps can't be a big deal. More fps means more distance. Though I would presume that cheaper end stuff with high fps make bb's curve) I'm new to airsoft, so I'm just stating my opinion, where to me some of these things seem logical.

~face palm~ fps does not mean more distance just ask anyone with an rhop. A&K not the same as echo1 mag's and parts don't interchange!!!

A&K is a rebrand of CA and those parts are interchangable, I just spent 3 months and $800 building mine. It uses PSG1 and L85 length parts and the gears have an extra two notches on them.

But I'm done with this thread and all the miss information. GET AN M4 and save the headache especially if you are new that take a lot of work and pats are hard to find (many HK stores and parts)
