Most paintball fields require that protection covers the entirety of the face.

SAWFLY googles, its what americans use, you know the kind where you can take a shotgun blast to the face and your eyes will be fine? I'm pretty sure the next step up is a solid ballistic plate, but you can't see out of that

If you want something that is universally accepted take a close look at these.

http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/4899/

They are possibly the best full face protection available, they are easy to find accessories or replacment parts for and best of all, have a very slim clearance so they shouldnt interfere with sighting your weapon. ( This was a huge issue with me and paintball goggles, before I got these. )

They are very light weight, more then double the safety requirments for paintball goggles ( get shot in the lense with a 400 fps bb, just a quick wipe with a micro fiber cloth and it's good as new ), excellent feild of vision, the straps will not move once you adjust them to your head etc, I could go on all day.

This is probably the best you can get if you don't mind spending the money.

You can get last years for a bit less money, but trust me get the Pro model, they are much lighter and seem more durable.

the bolle T-800 is great and almost impossible to fog up
JT spectra googles with thermal lens are also anti fog although if you sweat a lot the moisture can condense and that gets annoying

WARNING!
I'm not sure if anyone has even considered WileyX. I have personal experience with their SG/1 glasses and they suck. They are horrible foggers and they cost me $80USD (actually a great price, $110MSRP+) shipped. I currently use a pair of UVEX XC glasses that have high-impact rated lens and frames. They meet US and Canadian safety institute safety standard impact criteria and a military rating called V0. They have Rx glasses adapters as an accessory. They are glasses but they have a great cheek weld and only cost $10.

Mateba, it does not matter if a goggle or safety glasses meets standards. It matters if they are accepted everywhere in this country or not.

The only thing accepted everywhere, guaranteed, is a paintball mask. The rest is up to the discretion of private field owners.

There are many models to choose from. Some fog, some dont. The best bet is still to go to a specialized shop and try a few models. That's even more important if you want a model that allows the use of glasses underneath. Prescription inserts tend to be expensive, so that's not an option for everyone.

if you look at bolle X-800, there is a space between the frame and the lense, but not the frame and the face. This allows for airflow all around the lense, it's amazing (compared to other goggles) at reducing fogging, but it still fogs at certain times...

I guess that's considered non-sealed as paintball paint could enter the goggle around the lense. I love my X-800, but only for airsoft.

And yes, Ibby is right...ESS Turbofans are my dream goggle...

When I first got my T-800/X-800 goggles, I didn't find them very comfortable, but the rubber that surrounds the goggles will actually mold to your face.

Very breathable, highly recommended.

after trying out my friends and also having to use ski goggles or paintball mask, i would say that regular store bought safety glasses work the best. no fog, no problems seeing the sights, and nice and light, plus they provide adequate protection.

Bolle T-800, I tested mine. 450FPS point blank and no problems. I went full auto point blank and not even a scratch on the lens!
I also recommend Safety glasses. Those things can take a beating! 500FPS no problem. Honestly.

I think the best goggles are Dye I3 or the JT spectra. Here at Flag Raiders we sell both. And when you play at the field all we ask is that they are paintball goggles( just the frame not the armor).

bolle t800 or saftey glasses from any saftey store. just make sure they are anzi rated, some stores (7-11, petro, esso, shell ect) have "saftey glasses" mixed in with rated ones, that arent and your putting yourself at risk by useing them.
