Is it possible to wear ESS turbo fan goggle with FAST helmet?

Hey everyone,

I've got the ess fan goggle, and the FAST helmet. Now I have an issue with the battery box of the goggle getting in the way of the tightning knob on the helmet. Wanted to see if anyone else use this combination and have some clever way to go around the issue I have.

I realize there are two goggle clips on the helmet, but i dont see how i can remove the wiring and strap on the goggle to use the clips

Any help is appreciated!

Put the goggle strap on the helmet itself.

It's easy to make a wire longer. If you know how to solder and use shrink wrap.

Dont think this will work out... guess I'm gonna sell this goggle and pickup the non-fan version after. Thanks for the suggestion guys!

You can move the turbo battery box to the side and it will be clear of the helmet. Unscrew the screws, move the box along the strap to the side where the helmet is open, and re-screw the screws.

I did that and it works fine in this setup.

P.S.
I also found that the turbo fan was not 100% sufficient to prevent fogging in my case. It helps but it isn't foolproof. Fogtech rules!

Yeah, it's awkward as hell to do, but it works with the helmet, just a matter of jimmying the battery box around into different positions until it's out of the way and not bothersome. I have Smith Optics OTW's with the turbofan and had to work some airsoft-MacGiver to make it doable, but it is doable. I'm even going to start a project to just mount the battery box with Velcro to the helmet itself and extend the wiring. This will also require getting new head straps that I can mount to my ARC swivel mounts that came with the helmet, but the work will be well worth it in the end and much easier to deal with.

Moving the battery box is a clever way! Just wondering how did you get around the issue with adjusting the strap if the battery box is moved to the "front" of the fastener clip?

In my case the battery box was originally located in the rear of the strap. All I did was to move it a few inches to the right so it then became located on the side area where the helmet is open for your ear. Doing this didn't interfere with any strap adjustment clip or anything else.

Ditto. My battery box is slightly on the right side and works fine with my FAST. Ive seen guys velcro the battery box to their helmets too and use the goggle clips for the helmet rails.

Yeah I have Smith Optics OTWs with the fan and am moving to Velcro my battery box to the helmet. I'm wondering where I can get straps that work with the strap clips that came with my helmet as it would be mush easier using those than doing the wrap around on the helmet with my goggles. I guess I'll have to do some more searching on that. I have helmet straps for my boogies but even still the boogies can get uncomfortable after 7 hours of play and sometimes the only way to not fog is with goggles w/turbofan.

Best way IMO is aftermarket or DIY straps that fit directly to the helmet then attaching the battery box directly to the helmet using velcro as well.
