Ares Scar L AEG - lipo problem?
Quick question fellas!
Tried to take my scar out for a few rounds today and once I pluged my fully charged lipo (Nano tech 7.4 1200mah) I noticed a quick jerk on the motor instantly. Unfortunately I don't get a response once the trigger is pulled.not a dry fire, not a high pitch spinning motor noise.nothing! Both semi and full auto gets no engagement, just a really warm grip from the motor. Totally confused, I tied another battery which was also fully charged. It's the same spec as the previous lipo, but nunchuck style. Still no luck. Thinking the motor crapped out, I yanked it out of the grip and plugged the lipo back and Fortunately it does spin, so I know my motor functions. I've tried adjusting the motor height and no response. Just the same warm grip as it heat up really quick. I also noticed once I disconnect the lipo, I can see a tiny spark from the wires. I also get that terrible burning electrical smell on top of that. I'm super confused, as I used the same AEG with the same lipos 2 weeks ago. I don't mess around and dry fire this thing at home like a crazy savage. Help a brother out? The ares scar is 1 month old. Bought it brand new for the record. Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated . |

Did the polarity get reversed at some point? Sounds like it's trying to spin backwards.
If the motor is jacked up too high, it could be stalling out under pressure as well. |

No I haven't changed anything since the last time I used it (2 weeks ago). I did drop it down a touch and I got the same result?

Could be the mechbox is jammed. Its pretty rare for an adg motor to blow a winding

I'd be willing to bet you mixed up the wiring on the motor connectors.

I don't know if this is applicable to this model, but I've heard stories where people bought an ares gun, got it out of the box, pulled the trigger ONCE, and it broke. Very expensive wall-hangers so they call it...
I hope yours is not the same case. |

When I first got it, its ran smoothly. I even used it last weekend too. Even at the store it was tested before I purchased it?
