M16 SPR mod 1 inner barrel length?

Hey, just a quick question. I'm going to pick up a Dboys M16 SPR mod 1 front set. ( http://www.ebairsoft.com/dboy-forend...on-p-1106.html ) and install it on my KWA M4. I'll be installing a non-ported cylinder as well.

I believe the SPR is an 18 inch barrel, but I'm not 100% on that, so I have a question.

1) Is the Dboys SPR front set above actually an 18" barrel?
2) Does the M16A2 use a 509mm inner barrel?

If An M16A2 uses a 509mm barrel, and I subtract 2 inches (51mm) from 509mm, I'm left with 458mm.

with the extension/flash hider off I believe it's 18 inch and with it on a 20 inch. (509mm inner barrel)

So my choice is between a 455mm and 509mm.

The only other question I would have in that case is. Does the flash hider come off of the barrel extension? I can't see if it's one piece or not, and no reviews of the d-boys rifle mention it.

The whole extension is the flash hider, the part that kinda looks like where it would come off is just a thread for a silencer (don't think there is even an airsoft silencer with that size thread but that's what it's for)

I have an SPR style silencer i want to put on it (the kind that the barrel goes inside the silencer like 4 inches)

If what you are saying is accurate, i can't use my silencer

If your silencer is for an SPR (threading is much wider than an average aeg silencer then you can use it, if not, you can always take off the extension and throw on the silencer.

469mm(G3SG1 Lenght) is what you need.

Used to have an SPR and I've used an AK47 inner barrel on mine.

I have a 590mm in my SPR with an OPS supressor. I believe a 509mm barrel will show through the holes in the side of an SPR flash hider.

On. The inner will sit just right not protruding or extending.

AK-47 barrels are 455mm correct? that must be perfect if you don't plan on using the flash hider. Unfortunately, I can't attach my supressor without the extension (unless I don't use the flip up front iron sight). The supressor itself actually accepts about 3.5 inches of the barrel inside, I may not be able to attach it even without the front iron.

Looks like I'll just have to go with 469mm barrel and get a small barrel extension.

is a fake silencer really worth all the trouble?
