Question about Ak74 magazines

I have a ICS AK74M and i recently brought some STAR Ak74 160rd micaps, and it seems like its having a problem loading the BB's. IM suspecting the STAR magazines because the 2 hicaps that came with the gun works fine. Also, the feed well on the magazine seems to be much longer then the feed well on the gun (meaning the feeding tube on the gun isn't pushing on the nub on the mag)

I have both the plum and the Bakelite for the STAR Ak74 micaps, and i was wondering if any one else has the same problem.

And can some one tell me a good brand + type of magazine that feeds and fits well on the ICS AK74M (eg. G&P Ak74 70RND magazine ... etc)

Thanks

I used Star Low Caps - AK-47 type with my ICS AK-74 at TTAC3 - no problems.
Was thinking of getting some 74 type but with this I'll wait for a bit...

Ya that is strange, i would of expected STAR to have made the same type of magazine but just different shape.

i tried all 6 magazines and none of them load. maybe the STAR Ak74 locaps might.

any recommendations?

*edit*
Oh and the mags would be up for grabs if it doesn't work out for me.

OK i took apart one of the mags and tried it on the gun.
Seems like my theory was true, the nub isn't being pushed by the AEG hop up

but I'm assuming the ICS AK74M has a smaller feed well then the TM AK (or any other TM)

so don't get the STAR AK74 MIDCAPS for the ICS AK74M

Why is your gun so juicy?

30rnd. Star mags work fine in my ICS.

Just make sure your front end is properly mated to your receiver. As the front swings down and forward to be removed, any gap there would cause this problem as well.

I don't have one of those mags in front of me, so I can't tell you much more than that.
