CO2 vs. Propane GBBR Mags

I have another question. Do people generally have more problems with propane or CO2 mags?

not necessarily a 'problem' but your fps on CO2 would fluctuate too much. in hot weather, you'll find that it's going to be significantly higher. don't know if the high psi/fps is going to wreak havoc on your rifle or not. I have a feeling that it will especially if it's setup for propane.

CO2 mags are powered by the 12g cartridges. reading that one cartridge will run about 2 mags @ 50 rounds. when they are on sale at 50 cents each, it's going to be an added expense.

Have you ever looked at how much psi liquid nitrogen can generate? If our guns and magazines can barely handle CO2, I'd urge you to look at the psi of nitrogen before you consider every using it. Last time I checked, the vapor expansion of liquid nitrogen is roughly in the area of 4000psi.

In terms of pistols (I don't know much about GBBR's at this point in time, sorry) - the mags are usually not the source of the problems that arise - rather it is the increased pressure of the CO2 surging through (?) the internals that somehow increases wear on many parts, most/all of which were not designed to that that type of abuse. I personally find that well-built mags (e.g. TM) tend to last longer than CO2 mags (e.g. KJW), in regards to dropping/kicking around/running into things with the mags - note that CO2 mags are not built by the higher end GBB companies... that says something to me, right there.

Edit: yes, yes this thread is about GBBR's. My bad for not giving 100% relevant information to the topic at hand.

I meant to say, which mag has more problems in terms of leaks and such.
