Removing the loading chamber lip on the hop-up unit.

I installed one for a friend who dropped off their SD6 to me. His original loading chamber lip on the hop-up unit was broken, so I did a Marui Hop-up conversion using the VSR10 rubber.

Original barrel though. You can see how now the bb's won't clog/jam up together.

I would be particularly interested in your thoughts on this part, I have just ordered one for both my A3 and my MP5k.

My 2 babies as they stand at the moment.

That part should be available in your MP5K already from what I heard.
It would be a good fix for your A3.
Have you modified your hop-up yet?

MP5K! I need one badly!!
As of the parts list from VFC, you should have the new feeding ramp already, even you have the bolt guide too.

Yup the MP5K guys are blessed with the completely revised stuff.

However the crusader one is a new style type which also guides the mag into place.

I thought the K might have already had the revised one in but wasn't sure about the A3, saying that though it did come with the same one piece bolt head and bolt guide as on the K, so I may not need it for the A3 either.
But I'm a bit of an upgrade junkie and its one of two upgrades that the K doesn't have, the other being any form of hop upgrade, I was planning on trying out the TSC AEG conversion hop at some point in the future.

However that Marui conversion looks pretty sweet, is there any chance I could get a few details on how to do it?
I haven't even been inside my hop unit yet, it's not amazing as stock but on full hop I can fly .25s pretty straight.

Ok so new feed ramps came today.

Vast improvement over the VFC versions.

That particular one is out of my K, but I've installed a second one in my A3 too, the Crusader ones come with 2 different size screws as the K uses a large Philips head screw securing the old ramp, and the A3 uses a small Allen head screw.
Installed in my K.

The Crusader ones for some reason are plastic though, not sure how well they will hold up, the one thing I notice straight away though is how very snug they hold the magazine in place, before there was a great deal of wobble from my mags, after the install however there is almost none, so if the mags moving is causing any issues with feeding then the new ramps will 100% fix that problem! it's just a shame they didn't make them out of steel or aluminium at least

Plastic?? I don't care about it as long as it does the job and last long enough. I believe it holds the mag in place from back and fore, right? Also not chopping bb's and got stuck sometimes. I'll be happy.

It most certainly holds the mag in place tightly, from the sides with the "wing" type things and they are also slightly thicker to stop front to back movement.

My new loading plate from Crusader also arrived.
Was really disappointed to see that it was plastic!!!

However, I realized why they made it plastic instead of metal!
If they weren't plastic it would really damage and scratch up the mags since it fills in the gap to hold the mag in place nice and snug.

The fit of the mags is now perfect, there isn't that wobble up and down and left and right (this caused the firing pin to hit the valve release to miss or misalign).

Here is the new feeding ramp with my custom conversion VSR10 Nineball Laylax Hop-Up assembly

Do not use the screws the kit came with! They are tiny tiny bit larger and will strip the thread so you can no longer use the original allen key one!
If you can just use a little bit of blue thread locker and the original allen key screw!
