I think he means the arrow head patch on the sleeve pocket. Looks like an updated version of the SSF patch.

"SSF" is the Special Service Force, the grandfather of Canadian special-capability units. Google it.

As for the badge, there are so many unofficial unit badges and patches floating around out there these days ... I traded for many dozens in the sandbox ... who knows if this is official ("real") or not.
The flint spearhead was a symbol of the FSSF, and has been used as recently as Afghanistan (unofficially) by the PPCLI. CSOR has kicked around a number of flint spearhead designs, and there's also Task Force Arrowhead now, whose official badge I've never actually seen.
Unless somebody comes across something brilliant, I'd lean toward this being an unofficial unit patch - especially given that SOF units don't really tend to wear official badges much in the field ....

Canadian SOF, story doesn't tell if they're CSOR of JTF but frankly I couldn't care less, these are high speed bunch no matter what

Can anyone ID what kind of barrel/flash hiders our SOF are using in this pic? I think I saw the same front end and muzzle in another pic of Canadians competing in that special operations skills competition.
