AK + CADPAT Assault-vest = am i screwed?
Hey guys, i've searched all over the place and bugged alot of people and got my awnser, that they don't make CADPAT tact-vest that hold AK-47 mags. My olny choices choice is to get the Wyvern chest rig in CADPAT. I'm still got hoping i can get this assault vest!
Does anyone know if i can order AK pouches in CADPAT, yeah seems kinda far out. :banghead: Anyone that has acutally pulled it off owning a CADPAT vest with that houses them bloody banana clips. So raise your voice and TESTIFY! :salute: /// EDIT : Yes it must be CADPAT. //// War- Lock |

http://www.davesarmysurplus.com/prod...roducts_id=394 I am not sure but I think the Weesatch might be able to handle your requirement. Anyone here in the know, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. It might be a more expensive option, but, if it has to be CADPAT... |

Torn i checked out Tiger Tactical and, i did'nt see any AK pouches in CADPAT, BUT maybe, just maybe the c9 pouches would work.
Thou i never seen a C9 mag pouch i don't know how big they are. If it works i guess i can go with that option but i dont wanna lose my mags if bust a barrel roll during a game and find the only thing on me is a cantien Can anyone tell me if they pulled that one off? AK mags in a C9 pouch?? War - Lock |

Contact a custom gear maker like Tiger Tactical or DropZone Tactical for modular AK mag pouches. 90% of all custom jobs like that are not listed on the web site. You'll be surprised at what you can achieve by asking.

Ya, Tiger Tactical does custom stuff all the time. I saw for MP5 mag pouches they only had a dual mag pouch, MOLLE webbing, with velcro closures for $35. I sent them an e-mail asking if they could make me a 3 mag MP5 pouch, in OD, with Fastex buckles instead of velcro, they said yes and that it'd cost $45. Nice piece of work as well. AND, they accept e-mail money transfers (EMT).
Only problem now is, they seem to be out of Cadpat material. Might want to find out if that is still the case, and consider, if they have, Jungle Stalker material. The Cadpat they use is dark in colour as it is, so JS might be a good equivalent. |

I've tried AK mags in a Weesatch. Two just barely fit and you still need to add additional material to the straps in order to fit overtop. Also it's a little bulky due to the curve design of the mags.

Why not just buy a real-deal Soviet-issue rig in OD, or does it HAVE to be CadPat? Are you planning to wear a CadPat rig over desert camo (assuming you occasionally use desert)? OD goes good with pretty much anything.
http://www.redsoldier.com/index.asp?...S&Category=314 I've got a Pioneer M23 Chest Rig in OD and it fits AK mags like it was made for them. Oh wait, it was. My bad.

You DO know that OD gear over Cadpat looks damn good don't you? It blends in just as well. Might not be 100% the look you want, but I for one prefer OD "accessorizing" with Cadpat! Lol, never thought I'd put those words together in the same sentence.

any 5.56 holds an ak mag pretty good as long as all you are putting in is AK mags. the curve of the mag will get in the way of anything else but with only ak mags in the pouches they will all fit side by side. my wasatch holds the ak mags fine if you adjust the velcro to go a little bit on an angle.
I use the inner pouches of the wasatch for mags and then I use the modular pouches to carry everything else. |
