TM G34 Upgrades?
Hey, people.
I was recently having an issue at a game with my Tokyo Marui G34 not feeding properly. I was using WE mags, and every few shots I would get a burst of gas but no BB. I took the gun apart and everything looks fine, the slide cycles perfectly. A friend suggested that WE mag valves are too stiff for the TM, and as a result the valves would let off enough gas to cycle the slide, but not enough to feed a BB properly. Said friend suggested that I just needed to change the hammer spring to something a bit stronger, and everything would be fine. Doesn't seem too difficult. Should I change the valve knocker, hammer, or hammer sear as well? Please let me know what you think would get my G34 working at full tilt again. Thanks! |

Yes, if you want to reliable use the gun in warmer weather, or reliable use WE mags at all, replace the hammer spring with a 150% one.

We mag gas routes are also a different shape than the TM ones. WE will work in a TM without changing them but the TM routes provide a better seal.
