Hi Capa Firing Issue...

I have just replaced my piston and the original nozzle assembly in my Hi-Capa(both with SD parts, the original nozzle cracked), I was just testing it, the gun blows back fully, reloads the next round, but the BB just kinda rolls out of the barrel. My bottle of propane is running low so maybe that was it, but would a gun still blows back without enough gas pressure? The gun also runs with Guarder Hi-flow valve and SD slide/barrel, with upgraded recoil spring.

according to a guy on Arnies, the SD floating valve can get stuck close and thus no gas goes to the bb, so I stick the stock one in the SD nozzle and it worked fine.....

I concur, if you used the full SD kit

I've made the same observation somewhere on this forum - the SD floating valve is garbage. The way it's made causes it to jam inside the piston body, preventing gas from exiting out of the piston towards the BB. However, full gas use is now diverted to the blowback action. As the slide slams back forward in to battery, the energy of the loading muzzle chambering a new round pushes the old round out of chamber and in to the barrel. Without the hop up rubber holding it in chamber anymore, it will simply roll out.

Switch the rocket valve back out to the Marui one.

On the side note, what is the power one would expect out of a TM Hi-Capa with hi-flow valve, SD piston and SD nozzle, running on metal slide and barrel? I can't seem to get it to shoot through one side of a coke can, when my old KSC G19 on propane can do 1 and severely dent the other and sometimes went through both sides of a coke can...

Other than that the gun seems to be alright, shoots better grouping over a 7-8m range than my KSC USPc...and not that far off the SIG552...
