CVC, MICH 2000, And IBH Helmets

Got kind of bored tonight, and didn’t feel like doing anymore work, so I put together a small gallery of helmets I have owned and a new helmet I just got.

US Issued CVC Helmet (No longer with me)

MICH 2000 (Real)(No longer with me)

TS IBH

I'm assuming that's the Toy Soldier IBH? If so how is it?

Hey Primnus,

Very good! It is better than the MICH 2002 replica I owned. The straps are a bit sharp at certain points, so you need to just wear it down a bit or else it can scratch up your face in certain spots.

The velcro pads they give you are SHIT, but other than that, it is a great piece! Light, and a good fit.

I got it on a European pre-order. It turned out to be 130ish CDN in total, which is a great price, as the helmet had to get shipped from Asia to Sweden, then from Sweden to Canada.

Hey Yuxi, what size hat do you wear and how's the fit of the IBH to your head? I take a 7 1/2 and I find the helmets that I have are very tight for me.

Anyone knows if Toy Soldier and Proud are the same. They both sell very similar or identical IBH.

I wear 7 1/4 as far as I can remember, I usualy do not wear hats, so I can not give a 100% positive answer, but that is what I remember from measuring.

The helmet according to Godlyspartan looks fairly big on my head actually.

No idea how it would fit you, if you were in Toronto you could just drop by and give it a try.

From what I hear, the TS and Proud helmets were developed together or something, but no firm answer from me at least. Mine came black, I just sprayed it down with Krylon spray paint.

The IBH looks big on your head cus you don't have any hearing protectors or a headset on if you did it looks much better. Peltor Comtac's fit nicely.

The TS IBH looks to be casted from a real one, if you look closely behind the ear curve you'll notice 2 bumps which are for the screws for the real ones flipback headset.

The pads and straps are shit. Overall the build quality is good. to bad they didn't use the same material for the dummy plates.

Thanks for checking. Now, how about a pic of how big or not the IBH looks on you with your loadout.

Hehe, how bout one in my birthday suit? j/k

Yeah, I will try to get something up so as to show size, but keep in mind, I only weigh like 140, so I am not the best reference for an average size dude.

For me I think my face is not round or large enough. I do miss the sordins I use to have, but haven't rounded up the cash for the comtacs.

If you look at the pics of the IBH in use, on some guyss heads it doesn't look too big, like it looks pretty subdued, I will post pics later tonight when I return home.
