BB roll out, TM M16

Gun is a TM M16A2, fresh out of the box.

The problem is when the gun is on semi and I angle the barrel towards the floor a BB will just roll out the barrel. Then I shoot again and obviously it fires nothing but then if i shoot again it will fire a BB as long as it is parrel to the ground.

What holds the BB in the chamber? maybe this is broken? please help

Maybe your hop up is torn or maybe it's set to no hopup.

Like what Daniel said, your degree of hop-up is probably set at zero.

The hop-up is designed to hold a chambered BB stationaryy for stream of air to shoot it out. Adjusting for more "hop" will provide more backspin as the rubber nub pushes down on the BB harder.

When the hop is set at zero, the rubber nub no longer have contact with the bb. Hence, there is no friction that helps chamber the bullet. So when you tilt the gun down, the BB would roll out.

It wasn't the hop up, i tried it with no hop, full hop and half hop. What I think was happening, though i don't think i can explain it right is this:

There is a piece of plastic that cuts off the mag from the barrel. For the lack of a better word a bolt. But when i fired, the gun would cycle improperly and the "bolt" would be fully back and the top BB would just slip out.

I left it for a couple days and started firing it again. The problem no longer exists even with hop up set to nothing.

Just tempromental I geuss. Thanks everyone for your help
