Smile Hk ump .45

Time for a set of pictures of an under-appreciated HK gun.. the Ares UMP .45 with G&P MP5 double mag clamps

I have to agree with you totally, that is a very under appreciated gun. It may not have the rate of fire of the MP5 or MP7. But you screw around with a .45 Hollow Point, and that will spray them at you!

they are only a ARES, and G&G version of this gun....

Ares has the real markings (at a price...)
G&G has fictive markings

i had the G&G one, and its really nice :P

Does the charging handle and brass cover / bolt move?
Is it a bitch to fit a battery in there?

How does it feel in your hands; heavy, light?

Do you feel you're able to move freely with it?

I've always wanted one but was never sure in between the then-Star and the G&G. Your pictures kind of convinced me...

It's a bit of a tight fit for a battery in there but no big deal, the over all feel of it is a bit heavy even for its size. The gun handles and aims well, movement is natural. The only downside is that the charging handle is fixed and does not move and the brass door needs to be moved manually with your finger to access the hopup. I would probably still recommend the G&G from a gamers perspective and the Star/Ares from a collectors perspective. Mags, parts and bits are damned near impossible to come by with the Star/Ares UMPs unfortunately. I can't even get locap mags for it anywhere. And for god sakes stay away from the Double Eagle UMP lol.
