Prometheus internals, worth the price?
Hey guys,
I'm finally starting to really tinker around with AEG internals, and I was wondering if anybody can tell me if Prometeus parts are really worth their price? Everyone seems to be dropping Lonex parts into the AEGs nowadays cause they seem well built and decently priced, which makes me wonder if Prometheus parts are even worth looking into as upgrades. Please let me know |

they have a good reputation, their parts are good, but there's just better priced stuff out there... if a cylinder head A is 10$ and the prommy is 20.. is it 10$ more air seal?
Their barrel is probably the best on the market for the price, outside of that in terms of air seal, if you can get it seal, that's all that counts. Gears... 80$ for a set of gears... will they blow up? can they blow up? will you cry if they blow up as opposed to a 20$ set of gears? I generally mix and match parts till I find a good combo, whether it be lonex or shs or core or zci or ka or whatever, as long as it works. Given their pricing, I would probably only ever get the prommy barrels, only because my breadth of experience with other brand parts that are cheaper priced has been good enough not to warrant the extra expense.

I cannot vouch for much other than the inner barrel and Purple bucking/nub. My Prommy 6.03 455mm inner barrel is fantastic. My gun became a laser the day I installed that.
I have a Lonex hopup unit, with the Prommy purple Bucking/nub. I found it's an excellent combo, but it could have better air seal.

That's what I thought, so thanks for verifying that. It seems to me that Prometheus parts just assure quality control better than some of the SHS or Core makes, but I've never heard of people having any real troubles with their parts.
Inner barrels, I agree, are pretty worth it, but the other Promy parts just seem like a waste of money. Thanks man Quote:

Just to echo was was already said, the Prometheus inner barrels are possibly the best you can get, unless you can find an EdGI somewhere...
I also have a gun with a Prometheus Perfect hopup chamber which has been working really well ever since I installed it. However, as also said, I think for other internals there are better things to get.

Agreed, I have the same setup with exception its 300mm instead of 455mm and drum style hop-up unit.

Prometheus internals are overpriced, but they do perform better.

If money is not a concern, I highly recommend Prometheus internals. They're fantastic. I can't say the same about the "value" over lower priced options, but if you want some of the best that money can buy, you can't go wrong with Prometheus.

Im one of THE most anal people when it comes to internals and I can tell you promy is AMAZING
However you dont need ALL prommy internals. I myself just use the gears, pistons, spring, and barrels. ARS makes the best piston/cyl heads Cylinders are hard to fuck up Any air nozzle that seals is good and theyre all dif sizes A spring guides a spring guide |
