G&P m4 stubby front set Q?
hello,
I have a G&P m4a1 carbine full length, and im looking to replace the original front set with a stubby. so my question is, will my range be affected? if so how much? thanks |

another question, the kit im looking to get comes with a stubby suppressor. do I half to use a stubby suppressor? or can I just sub that for a 170mm one?
thanks for those who will actually reply. even if you do find this, a stupid question... |

TBH I think after around like 369mm length of barrel doesn't matter anymore. Not sure about shortest but I'd suspect anything sub 275mm is probably where you'll see a significant drop in accuracy. Note this is assuming the same platform and same upgrades and everything with only the barrel length changed, it's entirely possible to tune a gun with a 229mm barrel length to outshoot a stock gun with a 369mm barrel.
Also you don't have to use the stubby suppressor, anything that will fit it will fit but you have to decide what you think looks good because what I think looks cool is totally different from what others think look cool. But I think a lot of people these days like that integrated suppressor look.

ok cool. so what do you suggest as a good upgrade other then a tight bore and spring? to get the distance back.
note, I do play in a more CQB environment but there is times where im playing on a large field. |
