Need help for a complete parts list for a version 2 MP5 gearbox

I am having jamming issues with my stock gearbox in my mp5 I took it to the store that I got it from and their gun tech is working on it but my plan is to build another complete gearbox to put in my mp5 and then have the stock one as a spare if it ever jams again. I have never built a gearbox from scratch before but I have shimmed, taken them apart etc. but I have a feeling I may be missing something important thought I would check here before I place my order.

- Lonex 8mm Enhanced Bearing Gear Box Ver.2 for MP5 Series
- Lonex MP5-A4 /A5 /SD5 /SD6 Series Air Seal Nozzle
- Lonex Safety Lever for MARUI MP5 / G3 Series
- Lonex Cylinder for MARUI MP5 A4 / A5 Series
- Lancer Tactical Cylinder Head Version 2 With Pad OEM By SHS
- Echo 1 Sector Clip
- Lonex Enhanced Super Gear Set High Speed Ratio
- Lonex A2 Infinite Torque-Up Motor ( Long )
- Lancer Tactical Aluminum Blue Piston Head OEM By SHS
- Systema Area 1000 Polycarb. Piston
- Lonex Anti-Heat Selector Plate for MP5 Series
- Scatterplot Sorbopads Slotted 70 Hardness 3/16" Thickness
- Magic Box Ultra Smooth Version 2 Aluminum Ball Bearing Spring Guide
- Modify SP120 spring
- Lonex Handguard Switch Assembly (Front) (Ver. 2)

Thanks in advance

Without even looking at the list, I'd stongly advise against attempting this yourself if you don't have previous experience.

What I would suggest is buying a complete gearbox, like the Lonex one.

Also, where are you from, and where are you getting these parts from? That list seems... odd.

might be cheaper to get a drop in v2 gearbox like this one and just change over the necessary parts to be compatible with the mp5..

your motor is a solid choice

just my 0.02€

I am quite confident that me and my brother will be able to build it that is not an issue I am having its making sure I am ordering everything I will need to have 2 working gearboxes. I checked out the lonex gearboxes they seem like they are a good deal but I like things custom thats just how I am and I got the money to do it also I love building and tinkering so its a win win win situation for me.

I am from vancouver bc and the parts I am looking at are from AirsoftGI

Thanks

If you see it like that, I will certainly not stop you. I was absolutely not diminushing your abilities, but only to warn you.

Lonex are a solid choice for a lot of parts. SHS is not bad either.

I would suggest ordering from airsoftstore.ca . It's a store nearly dedicated to AEG aftermarket parts and they are in Canada.

Check the linked lonex box for a list of parts, but quicky I'd say you missed the anti-reversal latch.

Thanks again for the help I appreciate it I will check out airsoftstore and for the reversal latch its the "safety lever" in my first post.

Another quick question about the trigger I found the switch portion that goes inside the gearbox but for the actual trigger that u pull can I use any or does it have to be gun specific or gearbox specific? thanks

Modifying a version 2 gearbox

You will need an mp5 trigger. An m4 trigger will not work.

Salvage it from the old box.

You should also get yourself a shim kit.

its cheaper to buy a dropin mechbox than it is to buy all the parts for the dropin mechbox and put it together yourself

I changed your thread title sinced you're not modifying or looking to modify anything like radius the corners, swiss cheesing or polishing.

You'll need a small spring set and grease for the gears and piston also.
