CYMA v3 gearbox in dboys gun?

So it may be a stupid question, I figure a v3 gearbox is a v3 gearbox (ak vs. g36 aside) but Ive noticed the pistol grips fit a bit different so I figured Id ask. I recommended to a friend that he get a cyma v3 gearbox to replace the non functioning one in his dboys akms, will it sit properly in the receiver?

the base g36 gearbox is a v3 as is the ak one.. there are a few differences:

motor cage
mechanical safety
fire selector plate
cutoff lever
mechanical trigger.
top mount screw port on the g36

To make any v3 base gearbox transfer from one gun to the other you need to cannibalize those parts from the original gearbox.

I think someone missed the word *aside* in your AK vs G36. Lol.

I can't guarantee the fitment, since this is the world of Airsoft, but theoretically it should fit without issues.

Yes it will fit, no mods neccessary, unless it's rear wired and you need it front wired

Wicked, ya I figured maybe have to buy a new pistol grip but other than that it would be fine, just didnt want to send him down the wrong path. And yes had to front wire a rear wired one once before, learned alot, like my soldering sucks, would prefer not to do it again lol.
