Looking to do a small non-res order USA vs asia
I think this belongs in the noobie tank. Mods can move it where they deem fit.
With that out of the way. I'm looking to do a small order of non-restricted parts for the TM mws. (UAC / angry gun) sling attachment, springs, bolt carrier, nozzle, etc. Wondering what my best bet for pricing / not getting raped by customs/vendor fees would be. I've yet to find a retailer in Canada that stocks these sorts of parts, if there is one I'm more than happy to buy local for a few extra bucks. Angry gun sent me to *redacted* in Canada, who were nice enough to inform me that a direct order would be faster / cheaper due to mark ups and shipping time. I've made a few orders from asia, they are very inconsistent in shipping / marking the package to avoid excess fees. If there is a website you would recommend feel free to mention it. drugged up & sick - alex |

Make sure they ship with airmail or EMS (express mail service) and you should be fine. Avoid private carriers such as UPS and FedEx at all cost.
Watch out from stores that will list only "express shipping" such as eHobby, it can be anything, and they will happily save a few bucks and ship with UPS while you will have to pay the UPS scam fees.

Just put in the notes or e-mail them after the order and say you want the invoice reduced 75%.
Ordered $200-300 worth of parts from RWA, they marked it down to $50 bucks. |

That was to claim it from a Canada post location, not fedex or anything special.... |

if you're ordering anything over 50 bucks I would strongly consider ems... 5-10 business days to canada sometimes even 3 from hongkong. Insured and track.. though stuff from hongkong usually arrives before the tracking info shows up on hkpost's tracking. sal/air mail is 10-20 business days generally. maybe insured I think if you buy insurance for it, it's not that far off from ems. Customs clearance is the same, sometimes you get dinged, sometimes you don't.
sal/air can be a good gamble to get small packages cheaply sent. Basically they are flying standby on the first available plane with cargo space out of hk, whereas ems gets priority.
