Crisis of conscience

The magazine for my recently prchased JG M16-A1 completely broke durng a match. I went online to an un-named U.S. retailer and ordered two new magazines and was charged for those two magazines. Instead of being sent two indvidual magazines, I was sent two boxes of magazines, giving me a total of twenty magazines. I'm not sure if I should keep them though, because I profited 100$ of airsoft gear. If I kept them I would spilt them up between me and my friends who have compatible guns. It can become a big hassle to return these and it would take a while for me to be sent the two I ordered. What's your opinion?

I would feel guilty about it too, but i don't think there is much you can do.
as you said, returning them would be a hassle.

Doing the right thing usually is a hassle. Contact them and let them know...for your honesty they will either say "keep em" or "return them at our expense". I know what I would do.

+1 Ex.. probably not worth their time/money either. I'd notify them, but expect to be told to keep them. In good conscience, I'd donate the spares to teammates or new players as you've stated.

Just keep it or sell it and get the ones you want, hell I would be happy if I got this, I learned to accept extra things early in life ever since playing Monopoly when you get the community card that says "Bank Error in your Favour Collect $100"

Depending on the US retailer, I can almost garuntee it isn't harming them any. Especially if they don't realize their error.

Still doesn't make it right. I too have had this happen to me and contacted the seller right away to try and settle it. Another option that you could try is agree on a price minus the 2 that you already paid for. That is what I did in my situation.
It's great to hear that you actually have a conscience and am willing to make things right, even though you didn't do anything wrong.

I think the real question is, "Can your conscience live with your decision". I think you are looking for a win-win answer (by posting this here) to the problem but you may just get a "thank you" email from the seller. If you can live with just that, then send them back to seller.

Anyway if you want real seriousness just email them and get the RMA (If you can) which will let you return free of charge, but usually you may just have to pay postage, so send them the product and price reduce for the one you want and voila! Solved
