I'd have to say it's more matte than mirror-like. Nice and durable too!
You be the judge:

I own quite a few different slides for the TM G17...PGC is my favorite so far, I have both the black & silver!
I'm looking at trying a couple of the latest G17 slide combo's from the Airsoft Surgeon line up!

Woah that was quick lol I'm debating between getting a silver pgc slide, black guarder frame, and everything else that comes for the guarder enhanced kit. Or just getting a guarder enhanced kit with an od frame. What I don't understand is what's so great about the pgc slide? I'm guessing fitting sucks just as it was for my ksc g19, and it's just black or silver just like guarder right? Nothing that different really is there?

There is a BIG difference between the Guarder slide & the PGC (at least for the TM G17)...I no longer have a Guarder slide if ya know what I mean!!!

Oh ok I guess the guarder kit is out then. All them look sweet who makes that tactical block on the first g17 5ku, pdi, or is it real steel?

Guarder frame sucks....period....it breaks....

I like my Guarder stainless steel slide though....works quite well, gas consumption is not bad(40+ round per fill, with 200% recoil spring). Have that nice heavy weight to it...

The polished finish is done afterward, the stock finish is more matte...

The Glock 26 has PGC slide, but their Glock 17 slides have different kind of finish now...

They do make great slides but maybe not such a great Glock 17 version!

I really want one of those steel slides for the glock 17. But aren't they all discontinued? And the guarder frames break? In the picture with your glock 17 it looks like you have a guarder frame. Did it break?

I can have custom stainless steel slides machined for you if you wish, in any finish and design you'd like.

Yep, snapped right at the screw up front that screws the inner frame to the plastic frame. I think its a tolerance issue, in that in the TM frame the metal inner bottoms out against the front of the plastic frame, and is fully supported, where as the Guarder one doesn't, so the return to battery force is only going through the screw hole on the plastic frame(in shear, no less)...

I am back to running the TM frame with no issue.

Have you used another guarder frame since it snapped? I've never heard of that issue before. Maybe it has to do with the steel slide because a lot of people use aluminum slides on guarder frames and they work fine.

Could be the steel slide, but a guy on Trader's Airsoft have snapped multiple one of these on aluminum slide too.....

At anyrate, Guarder frame gains me nothing over the stock other than the trades, so I am not too worried about it....for $30 I didn't lose much....
