AI - Tornado Grenade Review.

Well my very first impression of this product was not good, the filling valve leaked and I had to take out the valve and reinstall it, now seems to be not leaking. After I was finished with that problem I found out that the grenade had a timing problem that was very dangerous. When I pulled the pin and thrown the grenade it did not go off after 4 seconds, so I waited about 3 min and when I picked up the grenade it went off in my hands. After a few 15 or 20 hits I brought the grenade back into the house and figured that it needs a little more lube. After the Tornado lube job I then tested the product again with better but still slow results. I set the charge for 4 seconds again, and the grenade went off at around 10-15 seconds. I’m thinking that the problem might be the tempature outside (About -10c)? But I’m not 100% sure. The grenade itself is a very sturdy design and I believe in giving everything a second and fair chance. I will try it this weekend when it warms up to about 7c and see if the timing is a little better.

If you have similar problems or have suggestions please share.

Thanks for reading

The grenade needs time to get back to room temperature after each gas fill. That is why you are experiencing timing errors.

ya it may have been a faulty grenade (never heard of one before) but i doubt it. it probably took so long to go off because once gas is filled in room temperature and then suddenly borught to -7c (stupid canadian weather) the gas majorly gets to be a smaller amount which means that it wont have the push force it needs to go off at the proper time because not enough gas is pushing on it for the cylinder to move upwards. another problem i realized that u did was not lubricate it properly. this grenade comes dry (without any silicon oil already in it) it is recomended that you completely take down the grenade and lubricate every part demonstrated on this video YouTube - Reassembling the AI Tornado Grenade

hope this helps =)

ive had problems with a FEW ai nades.... some with no tabs to hold bbs... timing issues on almost every nade.... the DD kit was a flop aswell....when it did go off i was not impressed... but ill probly buy another nade when the spoon kit comes out just because im a sucker for things that look cool..... ive had bout 6 nades go through my hands so its not like it was 1 bad nade

i put lots of lube in the proper place so thats was not the issue either

Thus far the only failures I have experienced were user error. My own damn fault...
