UTG AK-47 has metal reciever
WOW! Am I dreaming or what? An AK-47 with metal receiver expected to arrive ue roughly 60 days B4 Christmas?
I just wonder if the taunted "Steyr Killer" XM-8 which was finally "perfected" and ready for shipment will prove too much for the steyr. The XM-8 is exptected to be more powerful than the steyr in stock form and may be able to take higher upgrades. It will be priced between the Steyr and the WELL metals. The futuristic XM-8 may have its own fans so that should be good news for the steyr. An AK-47 with metal receiver is also likely to be priced between a stery and a WELL metal but the synthetic gears of the AK won't be a contender on the power front. But with these new additions, which are likely to be sporting a version 3 gearbox copy, and with the steyr gearbox capable of being tweaked to shoot 300-400FPS it would be nice to se how these 3 fare with each other. And with the WELL metals selling so well it won't surprise me to see an ACM metal version 3 gearbox out in the market soon. ACM gunsmiths should have one hell of a fun time this xmas trying to find more ways to powerized these newborn. The steyr power, because of its bull pup design and long barrel may be difficult to outdo and I think taht the steyr will still the best value deal in town at least until christmas. But hey, anobody want's a piece of the future? For me I want to put the proven steyr gearbox into the wimpy AK and find a kamagong or adaan wood stock to match the metal body. Kayo ano ano gusto ninyo? Utg's sure are getting respect in the US. The guns still probably suck though  |

lolz Syphen....Airsoft shoots BBs where as Vaccum/Softair sucks BBs...i actully really want to try some UTG guns. The Admin for www.airsoftforum.com has tried them and declaired them good, and he's a big assed Mauri fan. I'm sure that UTG has a long long way to go before its even close to competitng against Mauri tho because Mauri is Japanese and the Japanese companies really take pride in their work to perfect the products. Japanese Management harsh but produces results

and UTG only knows how to copy other peoples work so I doubt they will have anything "new" and original.

The UTG Mp5 actually looks okay... The video from shortyusa really showed off the gun. It looked not bad, but not something I would skirmish with.

www.shortyusa.com then go to AEG section, find the UTG MP5, then click on it, and then click on video for the side.
-OR- Click on videos on the side and find it. Sorry, I can't post a link, it just says www.shortyusa.com |

Neat pumping tricks, but it's still silly to dual wield pump shotties.
Dunno why people are so negative about UTG, before airsoft guns, they proved they could make decent Blackhawk vest clones. Now they're proving themselves with decent TM clones. If people don't like the copy cat nature of the company, then say it as such, because right now there isn't a lot to support 'UTG makes bad stuff' theory.
