Torontopaintball.com will no longer allow the sale of airsoft guns

Due to the recent increase of airsoft gun sales on torontopaintball.com we have disallowed our members from selling any airsoft guns on the site. We will do our best to keep airsoft guns from falling into the hands of the immature/irresponsible youth that are hurting our airsofting community.

Dennis

Thanks for helping us with the cause, Dennis. The Canadian airsoft community really appreciates it.

The last thing we need is idiots running around in public with replica guns.

Well, I'm really glad airsoft sales stopped there. I did some reading up on that site for what is left of the airsoft threads, and it seems like a lot of them don't have very good intentions, also, it seems like a lot of them want their guns for very cheap =P. I think I read about one guy complaining how he is 18, but doesn't like how he has to meet up with someone here to get verified and says it's stupid, he's probably underage I guess.

Well this is kinda an old topic, but good on ya Dennis. Always nice to see an internet community taking some responsibility. How's my ol' M4 doing by the way?

very good, it seems that "young punks" are finding more ways to get there hands on, and abuse airsoft.

good stuff..

the last thing I want is to invest money into airsoft only to have it banned in a few years because some dumb kid gets shot by a cop who thinks hes holding a real gun

Continuing to be an exception to the rule sets an example for all, and yourself. Good for you, and the sport - keep it up Bob. If you look at who takes a fake glock, stuffs it in their pants and walks around the local mall to fulfill an insecurity however, its highly likely that person is a teenager. The police already have had a few incidents to this effect and have asked parents in the Calgary area to 'turn in' any replica weapons they find. Hence, for the good of the sport, airsoft must be entrusted to those with the outlook to the big picture who know the time and place to enjoy it responsibly, reliably. Be happy it is the case, for without these rules, more airsofts would be in the hands of those more likely to endanger the sport (and themselves) and in the end no one at all would have access. This sport is already banned in Australia and is on tenuous ground both here and in the UK. I personally would support not only an age restriction, but also private certification - a license. Any human being demonstrating a lack of responsiblity to others (ie. a criminal record) adults included should also not have access to replica firearms. This sport will survive based on the conduct of its owners and I for one would have no problems going on the record as a responsible owner.

nah,
Easier said then done. Linsencing would ultimitely doom airsoft, as it has firearms.
Haha..so much bs goin around these days with us commwealths. I heard australia dn the UK are trying to ban all knives with points.
Theres also a group here trying to ban the sale of arysol cans to minors..BS.

There is a saying that 20% of the people so 80% of the work, and this is the same with minors with airsofts. 20% of the guys get the rest of them in trouble.
