thanks for the comment....I am quite pleased with how this is going, as this was a complete impulse buy and going in with no plan what so ever(my 1911 on the other hand was always kinda planned to be like that, and so was this Hi-Capa's original form). Impulse buy for the kit when I saw it on Redwolf, then when I saw the real steel's barrel setup I thought I could pull off something like that and just went for it.......

Nice work. Tempting, how many options
there are for the TM Hicaps... That slide and frame remind me of the WA Expert 5", with the frame following the slide taper. I noticed the custom milling hit the rail a bit... any plans to correct it? Sand it? |

I can't see it. Where is that?

On the lower rail, after the groove for
mounting optics, the milled lines seems to have just nicked the rail 3 times. Not too noticeable but would be nicer without those blemishes. |

I didn't mill anything other than the hybrid cut....the slide and frame came as a set...
and the same cut exist in real-steel, though don't mind the polished lowerframe, as I don't have faith in my ability to reproduce that.... |

Ahhh I see. I'm not familiar with all
the TM stuff. But that is a sweet kit. Tis' a small shame the factory didn't leave the rail unmarked. Nice work on your part though |

Safx, theres one available for your Western Arms as well: http://www.prog4.com/db/product-show.asp?refno=AR1429
The difference with the western arms version compared to the marui one, is that it comes with the hybrid cut and outer barrel, anodized gold too. |

I just can't believe it's almost twice the cost of the non-hybrid cut one....and all thats extra is the included barrel...
I almost wish they sell a seperate barrel though... and btw they also sell one without rail or the hybrid cut, but with polished top and lower... |

Ahh fuck balls. Thanks for the temptation Dave!
Damn that site, I was avoiding it... thinking they only made stuff for the TM's That price is high enough to keep me at bay til' I finish my Kimber's. Brian, I'm pretty sure the SCW2 WA set-up won't work with the TM mags, or the internals. The SCW2 use a hammer that's connected to the firing pin and the frame is cut for it. Also the WA mags hold open there own valves, not the frame. It would be a waste of time and money to try and make that kit work on a TM, you'd end up building a WA in the end. |

I think what he meant is that ProG4(and whoever their supplier is) is making the kit available in both TM and WA system....I've seen the WA version of it from someone on Trader's Airsoft. And I have the TM version of the kit, and afaik the Airsoft Surgeon and ProG4 are supplied from the same machine shop, the difference being AS's kit is sold through Redwolf and have CL## on the frame for serial # of the kit....
