Update on my field-mule Kawasaki ATV .. I greatly improved the flexible LMG gun mount for the vehicle-mount Stoner 63a. Vacation quality time in the garage is great

Extra horizontal arm added between base mount, and upper portion of the gun mount portion. As shown in picture, it is in vehicle-movement/at rest position, with the box-mag resting upon the horizontal arm. Both ends of the horizontal arm rotate 360 degrees, allowing the Stoner 63A LMG full range of elevation and traverse.

Thinking of a big-arse "fuck-off" halogen spot-light gimbled to the top portion of the gun-mount, and a small mounted shield forward of the top portion of the gun-mount to complete the effect.

Wouldnt it make more sense to make a mount for the back rack? how are you supposed to drive and shoot that at the same time?

Our last event celebrating the 70th of D-Day had fair few vehicles in use.

Truck to transport a bunch of us around at the start, to our camps and briefing.

Also was used as an "airplane" for allied soldiers to "jump" from at night.
One Willy's jeep was used as well for troop transport.

More 'importantly' (read fun) was the tank..

Actually got driven around, fired out of, fired at.
Mission oriented, it was a blast.

We've used vehicles before in blank battles/public display events such as Brit

More toys = more fun.

Not meant to be shot while underway. I am not proposing that walking and chewing bubblegum at the same time be attempted. Dismounted fire support only. It's in travel position in the photo, but when dismounted, the improved horizontal arm allows it to be used from any position around the front of the ATV, using the front end as cover.

I'll take an additional photo of the whole thing to update, to show why the rear rack is not a feasible relocation point.

Sorry, necro-post. Can I enlist your guys' google-fu to help me find (or make) plans for a Humvee style MG turret.

I have '97 F150 E-cab with a long box (like this: http://imganuncios.mitula.net/1997_f...4997001148.jpg) that I'm thinking of making it into a cross between the RSOV and this technical (http://www.kiesler.com/shop/ProductI...OUNTPKM1LG.gif).
I.E. have 4'6-5'0 rack with a 48" dia. weapon ring (I still haven't found the proper name to search them by) but still leave some room for troops and/or extra kit without knocking their head on the rack. Maybe even remove the doors (my truck has no electronics in the doors.)

EDIT: this is the closest I can find to my idea, minus the armor-plated bed: http://images0.naharnet.com/images/9...jpg?1380775394

Engine is mounted and drive tran being connected. Idea is to mount LMG for top gunner and possibly grenade launcher.

Update. Vehicle is mobile and all the functionality issues are being worked out. Then onto the fun part body and cool accessories.

Does anyone know of which locations & events across Ontario allow for vehicles? Are most paved areas or off road?

We are considering the conversion of a donated vehicle and want to make sure it would be a worth while en devour.
