Hope you have a good gearbox casing.... That kind of power will surly destroy a standard V2 gearbox...

Depends on what you want it to shoot and what your local field limits are (most around here are 400fps w/ 0.20g bbs).
A pretty generic answer is to stick a Modify M110 spring in it. That'll put you in the mid to high 300's. |

im already in the high 300's, but one of the guys I play with uses a 170 and his stays acc to 400. I'll look into it farther, Thanks for the help

Systema M120.
It should set you to about 400-410. A bit on the limit, but with the right parts, you can get it to 398ish. You can also use a JG stock spring with a TM piston head. The spacer in the piston makes for the drop of power. That is what I am using. 398 fps on the spot. |

your fps also depends on barrel length. There has to be a long enough barrel to get the maximum power out of a spring. With an m110 my m14 shoots about 380. With the same spring my MP5 shoots about 330

There's a lot of info on springs...but the short version is..
some springs are labeled as %...where 100% is ~290fps w/ 0.20 (aka "stock", TM, m90) ---so, approximately, a 110% spring is 290 + (10% of 290) 29fps = ~320fps some springs are labeled in Meters/Second...where a M90 is roughly "Stock" = 90m/s * 3.3 ft/m = 297fps ---so, a M110 spring is 110m/s * 3.3ft/s = 363fps 170% = 493fps M170 = 561fps The gotcha is that it's all approximate and dependent on quality/precision of your parts and assembly. The other gotcha is that some spring makes are just guestimates and may vary wildly between batches. Think I got that all right.... |
