Personally i think they should do a segment on airsoft in general.
explaining why we have the rules we do.

and how we attempt to but a stop to minor's by mostly controlling a market to those who we know for a fact are above 18.

thus we are being responsible enough to attempt to prevent further incedent to our sport.

It's interesting to watch the various news segments on YouTube - some of them are really negative, some balanced, and some cautiously positive. The better ones actually do a good job at looking at the sport objectively. They're almost all American though.

I think the best one I saw was that one from New Zealand.

you make the mistake of thinking that ASC is the "airsoft" community.. and that the rules we have here apply to all... they don't .. there are far more people in possession of imitation firearms than are represented by this community.

For those still frantically searching for the preview

http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2009/c...atch/main.html

Go to time point 21:40 and you'll see a familiar someone shooting a MEU in TTAC and so it begins, don't forget the segment is not just about Airsoft in general so don't get your panties in a bunch

Indeed.. its not about "airsoft" at all... its about "imitation guns" which include things like "airsoft" and BB and Pellet guns.

hey guys, if they do cast the whole thing in a negative light, my law teacher says we can sue them for false representation, since they didnt say that they were going to make a story attacking airsoft; the reporter told me that the story was supposedly going to be "helping" us airsofters, so if they cast it negatively, we can sue

Don't know if that would be helping our cause, to be quite honest and as a student of politics and Canadian law I'm not quite sure how feasible that would be to prove. We're really best off being open to the wider public a little more, dropping the hostile attitude, and when people realize that the community is highly self regulated, and that we are not militia training for governmental overthrow really... the media might do a story here and there, but they are not going to be pressing for bans of airsoft rifles en masse.
