Humm

So if a 14inch barrel + 2inch flash hider as shown on your pic match perfectly with the +1 extension, I presume 16inch barrel comes flush with the +1 extension !

Yeahhh

But I will take the 20inch and cut it to match the +1 extension ! Don't like the ring on the 16 barrel

Sometimes I get a Jam here :

I think it's because of the shell loading arm that doesn't come up as fast as I pump the gun. But I'm not sure.
And it happens sometimes not too much often.

If you have any idea about this issue.

Look like your loading arm not lifting high enough. The top pic shows the arm is a bit too low that's why the shell stops in front of chamber. Take the trigger set out, check the carrying dog and the bolt contact area see if there is any damage or worn out. I'll look for some pics for your reference

Check post #39 will give you some idea. Compare the carrying dog (pic 2) with loading arm, compare the bottom of bolts (pic 8) if anything different, any worn out or damaged? Compare the height of loading arm (pics 3,4,5) you will see your arm is low.

Humm that's my bad !

Indeed, the arm travels all the way up.
I created the jam position myself for pic. Usualy you would have the bolt carrier striking the shell on its back.

To resume when I pump for real, the shell gets catch in this position between the bolt and the barrel.

All three of the pushing pins comparison

This is a 1st Gen bolt installed with reinforced pushing pin without the shells cup, test firing it, still working fine. Seems like without it also no problem at all.

Thx for infos !

Is there a reason why you grinded so much on the front of the bolt carrier ?

since I didn't install the cup that's for guiding the shell for eject function, also I've found there is a bit tie between bolt and the end cap when shell is in the chamber, for the shell sits and holds better in the bolt within the chamber being ejected, grinding the front of the bolt a bit (like a cup shape to let the end cap sit in) could improve it. This idea I learned from the bolt design for Tanaka M870. So far it's working okay for short period of time, need to see the long run tho.

The video link I've seen it already, good idea if, 1, you have the compressor, 2, you don't mind to charge 10-12 second each shell, 3, you like the high power. But I don't have a compressor, I don't want to take so long to recharge, and I don't even need that higher power! So I keep the co2 charger is fine for me

Yeah from this point of view, you're quite right !

This is the 2nd main jam I've got, and it's a pain in the ass.
I've modified a little bit the extractor thought it came from this but didn't solve anything

Here will be a detail info's for fine tune it, hope it helps!

the reasons for shell jam is causing by 1, the condition of front contact of the bolt (the most important), the top green circle, make sure it files & sand around that area a bit round and smooth to let the end cap of the shell slides through that area easily. You may take it out and use a shell, angle it as the same as jam and test slide contacting on it and see how is the friction. If you feel rough and not smooth, that's the problem.

2, is it smooth on the surface of the end cap of the shell (also important) Mine are damaged a bit so this rough area will create friction and increase the chance of jam, so I did sand it smooth to make it works the best and minimize jamming.

these are not the worst I have, some of them are even much worse than that!

3, the opening of the chamber when shell loading (not important but this will help for wider angle loading up) use file to file the lower part of the chamber to give wider angle. I would suggest using sand paper first, if not working better then use round file.

4, the last, may not necessary! is the front edge of shells sometimes I've found that is a bit sharp edge and I just fine sand a bit round to help it smoother to be loading in chamber. When first I had my CAM870, I had jam once every 6-10 shots. I marked down the shells got jam and did this process. Also compare the overall length of the shell see if anyone of them are longer. That could be the shell front piece not screw tie enough to the end piece, so when the shell is longer, that needs to have a wider angle to load into chamber and causing jam.

New Logo on 1st Gen bolt, cover up the rubbing mark, got a better finishing this time.
And I still try to learn pot metal plating, anybody knows about it? The simple home made one with 3.0V battery operate.

I'm thinking of picking up a CAM870 SF because I like the shorter barrel and I hear it includes the version 2 bolt. I'd like to find a regular buttstock for it, but I've heard conflicting reports on what will and won't fit or where to find them. Hoping for something like this:

Anyone have any advice? Thanks!
