I've been out of circulation for two years. I have a ton of equipment purchases to make.

Wilcox J-arms aren't craptacular failures like the original Norotos ones. Besides, they actually fit the Wilcox L4 G24 helmet mount without having to dremel the arm's bevel like some folks (not all) have had to do with the Norotos dual dovetail in order for it to fit properly. Another nice benefit of the Wilcox J is that if you disconnect your NV from the Wilcox L4 G24 while it's still turned on, it immediately turns itself off, and it can easily be switched from one eye to the other without having to dismount it.

In the end, both the dual-dovetail or the Wilcox J are decent (and expensive) mounts. Either way, it's really up to personal preference.

PS: Hey Q...if your red vlites are the on/blink/off versions, wanna sell me one?

You know, I don't see all the hate for the USGI bayonet system to be honest. There is wobble, yes, but I find it to be quite minimal. A little bit up shim work seemed to clear it up and make it rock solid. My dual mount had an absurd amount of wobble when it first arrived. After I Tim Taylored it, there is virtually no real wobble anymore. Is it just me having some good units or is it more of a "you don't know what you're missing" thing?

Great! More money out of my wallet! You've been taking tips from Tru, haven't you?
