Well, I had my first failure of my 10/22. Read on because it's not what you think.
We played on Sunday, and I was using my 10/22 and pistols. During a game the bolt seemed like it seized up. I could rack it but it would not fully seat into battery. When the bolt was back the nozzle seemed very hard to move. I said oh well, guess I'll just use my pistols for the rest of the day. Fast forward to tonight when I actually took it apart. I found out the piston and cylinder o-ring were BONE DRY! Yes folks, I had not used oiled in my gun since I got it (well maybe the first mag fill or two, or one in between somewhere). So it was totally user error. Didn't have to take it apart to remedy it but that's just how it happened. Added oil to the oring and piston and it cycles like a dream again. Derp. There is no need for a reducer. simply run it on duster. works like a dream and gives a good gameable FPS. Ill have a full post about FPS tests on both propane and duster with normal and tight bore barrel.
Ill have it up soon. |

Just got mine, luffit!!! Now, what are you guys using for pouches?
Nevermind... found out that my pistol mag pouches work perfectly! And if you double up the mags they'll fit right into a single m4 pouch. Can't wait to game the thing!

Whatever I have available. They're much smaller and different dimension than any other rifles mags so....try something and see what works.

Totally weird and who knows how it happened, but I chrono'd mine on propane AND duster for a night game, and it was shooting hot through the Paintball chrono they had at the field

What do you consider "hot"? You need to list numbers.

So,
Buying the gun next week, got the sniper kit coming in the following month hopefully. Anyone care to run a quick crash-course of info on the gun? Just basic shit like maitenance and things to do/not do and etc. Thanks |

So, whats the benefit of having a steel bolt for this thing? Putting together a 'to buy' list for when mine comes in. Getting the RATech bolt, mag release, inner barrel/hopup unit... But then theres that steel bolt. Just curious if it would be worth the 80 some dollars to have that installed in my gun.

I think it would be a disadvantage. Heavier bolt = worse performance and gas consumption.
By the way, why are you getting the inner barrel? It's already close to limits, and WAAAAY over limits with an extended tightbore. What are the sniper limits where you are? |

Has anybody had issues with mags failing? I have four mags that have now failed. One even went off in my vest.
