No IBH, very few where made and are not used by 10th SFG (or for that matter any army SF units). Last shots of them being worn are from a few years ago with some Devgru (apparently) dudes T/Eing a bunch of shit.

Something a bit more old school now
Pre-MSA Paraclete RAV in DCU. Modded by the operator, took off the outer cumberbund wich was too saggy when loaded and had a MOLLE panel fitted on the front velcro. Front and back are secured together with fastex buckle and straps that are routed through where the cumberbund would usualy be in the back. All pouches are currently SDS (as I had these hanging around) but I'm looking to replace them with old Paraclete DCU ones.

hey guys i have a question
im originally going for complete woodland, which was why i picked an OD RAV vest however of course most of the photos we saw showed operators wearing tan on top of woodland i want to ask, why? and is it effective in a woodland/jungle environment in terms of camoflague? and im trying to go for something liek this : Last edited by ravan318; January 8th, 2010 at 15:33.. |

Coyote Brown works well in both Woodland and Arid/Desert.
Plus a lot of the pics you see of SOF guys in woodland are guys training to deploy to Iraq/Afghanistan an would be using the kit they are going to deploy with. Also, buying all your gear in Coyote Brown would be cheaper than having to buy OD/Camo for woodland an buying another set of everything in Tan/Coyote Brown for Arid. USMC went that way an buys all their armour an LBE in Coyote Brown minus their rucksack an 3day/assualt pack. Last edited by -Skeletor-; January 8th, 2010 at 16:10.. |

Coyote brown or khaki (once you properly break it in by rolling in dirt) are multipurpose camo, sort of a one colour fits all.

True about the Coyote Brown although I might add, since we have used CB in airsoft for quite some time and recently switched to khaki - khaki is actually nicer in our 90% dense woodland areas since it has sort of a greensih tint. It is not the same with all manufacturers, PANTAC khaki for instance is lighter while the Flyye khaki we use is bit darker and on direct sunlight, gets a green tint while in arid(lush/desert areas it is completely tan/khaki. Cant say about the MLCS real MJK, I guess the color is somewhere in between the above replica brands.

I'm not too sure about Pantac Khaki. If you do go with an all Khaki uniform be sure the top and bottom match. I know for a fact Truspec khaki looks pink. And it will not match with something like 5.11 khaki.
Here is a colour comparison. My team usually rolls out with truspec combat shirts and 5.11 Khaki pants. Colour looks horrible. Doesn't look too bad here. This is the closest to "Special Forces" we get. |

Thats some shiny brand new gear there.. the Special Forces key chain thingy is pretty legit too
Your friend might want to tuck in his boot laces too so they don't come undone an he trips on them or gets them caught up on shit. And he also doesn't need to tuck his pants into his boots, its a pretty sloppy way of bloushing your pants and it is needed.. just wear the pants over the boots as that will most likely happen sometime during the game as his pants work their way out of the boots. |

Agreed but then again this is just a quick "mom take a pic of me" kitchen pic, not the actual on-field setup where I doubt anyone would carry bling like that.
Didn't know about the Khaki colors of the clothes since we mainly use WL and DM/D2, I was more talking about the khaki colors of the vests and trying to point out that CB AND khaki work for our woodland areas. |
