I want one. Can I get knitted NODs to go with it?

Finally got a helmet... Nothing fancy on it at all. Maritime velcro mod and some Krylon, that's it.

Just waiting for the FMA FAST Maritime helmet to be released...

My freshly painted monstrosity.

Emerson FAST Helmet (run it for a year and a half, no complaints) with good ol' Canada patch, V-Lite, counterweight and Norotos mount which I will be changing soon to Wilcox because its just too big, though my Armasight Spark CORE isn't very small in itself. Also got my Smith Optics OTWs hooked up with the quick-tabs and the battery pack for the turbofan Velcroed to my helmet to be out of the way. Finally, my own home made QD setup for my lower mesh

Everything was painted with Krylon Camo brown and tan, even the mesh, for that all-in-one look.

Poor man's NOD setup:

This is my "ECH 303" Replica work in progress.

Based on SOTG set ups, Soon to add Ops-Core Nape straps, MICH 2000 Rhino plate and strap, TAG IR Light, and a SureFire HL1... Also replacing the FAST style velcro with some plane black velcro on the sides or ID Patches.

Zack, I like your helmet, its very pretty! Those attachments for your arc rail, are they loose? And how did you attach your mesh mask to the helmet?

Thanks cav.

The slide tabs are in there nice and tight with zero wobble: they actually were kinda hard to get on (plastic ain't perfect).

I used the goggle headband insert clips (or wutdafuqeva they're called) and some paracord. I removed the elastic strapping from the mesh and looped paracord through the attachment loop on both sides of the mesh, then lopped it through the headband clips. Check it:

I then pulled both to optimum tightness while wearing the helmet and my goggle to get a really good snug and accurate fit. Simply tied a double knot on both sides, took it all off, cut the excess cord and took a lighter to the ends/knots to melt it all together (did the lighter thing post photo).

I like it much better than clipping the mesh to my goggles as that gets floppy and still gets in the way of eating/drinking/smoking on the field and putting mesh on separately means putting the mesh on and then everything else over top which makes it impossible to do any of those without taking is all off, plus doing that and using the chin strap is uncomfortable as fuck.

This way I can put my helmet/goggles on, do the chin strap up, and then simply clip both ends of my mesh into the helmet over top and boom; Bob's your uncle.

Does it come with an umpire so that when you or anyone else gets hit they yell "You're out!!"?

Just received my ticket to the ops-core helmet party.

Ordered from DS Tactical, great service. Now to start my 10 year journey that ends with me dealing meth and selling my body for NVG's.

Going to take a leaf from your book Zack and make some goggle, mesh attachments & slap some paint on. Helmet looks awsome.

I've been trying to look for other retailers for the base jump helmet and all I can find are Millbrook and DSTactical. I remember seeing someone post another retailer, but I can't find that post

Does anyone know of another retailer? Or even a local retailer?
